Hi everyone, first time posting anything, I need some help if any of you lovely people are willing to read this, might be a bit long for which I apologise. Been vaping for a few years now, but my actual knowledge on vaporisers and everything is lacking some. I recently purchased the vaporesso swag II for two reasons, firstly it seems pretty identical to my old one that I got on with really well (wismec reuleaux RX75 with Armor mini tank and WS-M 0.27ohm coils) and secondly the reviews I found for it were generally pretty good. I like the vape, and the tank seems good (not sure what it is, the standard on that came with it), but I'm having problems with the coils (GT4) . I seem to kill them very quickly even though I wouldn't exactly class myself as a chainvaper, I vape in the 30-50w range in general anyway so have the right coils for that range and always follow the instructions. When they work they work really well but they burn out on me way to quickly to feel comfortable spending more moneys on them. So after all that I suppose my question is, can anyone advise me on any of it? Im looking for longer lasting coils and bearing in mind I'm not really up for the ones you have to build yourself as I'm pretty lazy..... Are there other coils that fit I could try? Should I get a whole other tank with different coils? Should I change it out for my old tanks and coils? (think they may be going out of date/production so don't know if that's viable?) If you've got this far and can help me it would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

Hello @Hissing_Munky and welcome to POTV.

It seems all is well with the info you've given. The only thing you've not mentioned is what eliquid you're using! Could be a contributing factor.

I can't help with other coils to use but hopefully a more knowledgeable Ape will be along soon to help.

Good luck :)

Not really my area of vaping as I do MTL only. However, the Vaporesso GTX coils are excellent and they can be used in the GTX 22 tank. Should be perfect for the Restricted Direct Lung vape you are after.

Hi @Hissing_Munky and welcome to the planet.
i tested all the GT coils when they first came out and wasnt overly impressed with the 1-6 but the GT8 & GT Mesh ive bought more off and still use them now and again. as you vape at 30-50watts i think the 0.18 mesh would suit you better. even though it states 50-90w it will still give decent flavour at 40watts.

and as Jim mentioned, it could well be the juice thats not helping. high sweetened juice like some american flavours can be coil killers and also high vg like 80 is too thick. best stick with 70vg if you can.

GT1 0.2Ω Ohm - clapton (50-70W)
GT2 0.4Ω Ohm - clapton (40-80W, best 55-65W)
GT4 0.15Ω Ohm - clapton (30-70W, best 45-60W)
GT4 0.15Ω Ohm - mesh (50-75W, best 60-70W)
GT6 0.2Ω Ohm - clapton (40-100W, best 70-90W)
GT8 0.15Ω Ohm - clapton (50-110W, best 60-80W)
GT CCELL 0.5Ω Ohm - SS316L (15-40W)
GT CCELL2 0.3Ω Ohm - SS316L (35-40W)
GT Mesh 0.18Ω Ohm - clapton (50-90W)

The liquid Im using is from 88vape? I think that's what it's called, only started using it recently, I actually got the link from POTV lol the same as the previous companies I used, Rejuiced and LiQuid (onepoundeliquid)

Thankyou, I will bear the GTX in mind

Thankyou for the info :) So all of those coils would fit this tank, but you'd recommend the 0.18 GT Mesh? I'm ok vaping at a higher wattage, the reason I tended to vape at that particular wattage range I think is simply because it's what I got used to. The juice I have is 70vg and....as far as I know....made in the UK, again simply through habit, when I first started vaping there was more rules and regulations around UK production than any others and so more trustworthy (don't know if that's still the case). Thankyou again for your input, I appreciate it :)

Hello there @Hissing_Munky
I can't add a whole lot to what has already been said above. I found the GT4 coil didn't last particularly long when I used it so I don't use it any more.
One thing about the coils though is to make sure you prime them properly before vaping otherwise you will shorten the life of any coil. I like a DL vape every now and again at 35-40w and I now mainly use a SMOK Baby V2 with the S2 coil.
As @rew mentions the GTX coils are excellent and though I don't have the GTX22 tank I hear good things and should suit you for RDL.
