What's new

New on forum, and don't know what to do.

Hello and welcome to PotV. It took me a while before my vaping successfully got me away from the ciggies. I dual used, vaping and smoking before I was able to fully put them down. The vaping took hold and on the 25th of this month, I will be 6-years cigarette free. I have to admit that it was my online friends on e-cig forums that provided me the support to be successful with vaping. So, hang in there and we can help you.

Well hello there and a jolly spiffing welcome to the forum wot wot! Good advice so far, I'd have a look at the suggestions for devices and see if anything catches your eye, you can always ask about individual devices etc. Liquids you can mix your own, there's a whole mixology section on here to have a browse of. Good luck Daniel and don't give up, you got this!!

:welcome2: To the Planet @Daniel Olafsson and enjoy your stay. I am not a Pod Fan but if i was to recommend something it would be the Drag S or Drag X. You might be better of buying a Mod and a RTA as already mentioned. Good Luck on quitting as we all know how hard it can be.

Welcome to the forum @Daniel Olafsson.

Finding the right juices can be tough. Some people just seem to like lots of different juice flavours and brands and others do not. I'm in the "do not like" category. Hated absolutely everything I tried for months so I mixed my own for about a year. Then I found a couple of brands that I liked and I haven't looked back. I vape fruit exclusively and the juices I've vaped for the last couple of years can be counted on one hand. There's so much choice it can take some time, effort and wasted money finding what you really like but it is out there and once you find something you like it will make all the difference. And at the end of the day mate, whatever it takes or however long it takes, it's worth it. Smoking will probably kill you. One in two smokers die from tobacco related diseases so the best advice I can give you is to keep persevering.

And for devices, as someone else mentioned, check out Voopoo. The Drag Max is great with mtl and dl pods available and an rta pod plus a 510 adapter if you want to get in to non-pods without having to buy another mod. Dual 18650 and they have loads of coil options.

Good to have you here @Daniel Olafsson , has vaping taken off yet in Iceland? I was there a few years back and there wasn't any vape shops and I got some odd looks. One doorman at a pub kept looking at me everytime I went outside for a toot, curiosity got the better of him and he came and asked me what it was, I explained, and he asked if you could smoke weed through it :27: Then he had a few puffs, we had a chat and that was that.

I always recommend a high nicotine 50/50 liquid usually of a simple tobacco variety for new vapers, on a simple tank device like a nautilus mini, for the simple reason they work well and are easy enough to get used to using for starting out. They replicate a cigarette like draw, you get enough nicotine and throat hit to surpass cravings and its more like what you're used to getting from a cig. The different flavours and big clouds of vapour and different kit can come further down the line once you're starting to kick the stinkies for good. The hardest part is getting that 'click' moment where you prefer to pick up your vape over reaching for a cigarette.

Obviously everyone is different but having been a heavy smoker previous and making the switch and managing to get my old dear off a 35-40 year 60 odd a day habit the same way, these were the key parts it seemed best to dial in on.

Good luck and there's plenty of information.stion on the forum and lots of members ready to help at hand.

Hi everyone, I just want to thank you all for the warm welcome and all the advice.
This is something I've been missing all along, advice from someone other than a salesperson on what might work best.
And yes, @brightonvaper it has taken off, or rather it is rising fast, many shops are springing up. Actually, "nicotine mouthpieces" are one of the most popular right now, but they don't suit me at all.
But thank you all for the advice, now I just have to look at all the advice from you here and find what would suit me best and then find a store abroad that ships to Iceland and has a good price.

Welcome

ditch the pods the only pods you should be seeing are those lovely Wales as they swim buy the cold blue seas of Iceland....get a proper tank and a mod, look at diy your own juice then the worlds your oyster
