That's my setup. Love it. Especially as you can rebuild your attys.

Have you had any trouble with the centre pin, seems to be a lot of negative comments around about that problem

I think I'm going to go for the vamo 5 and a pro tank. I want something that is easy to maintain and doesn't take a lot of work to sort out. Maybe one day I'll go down the route of building my own but for now just want the next step from a basic battery and atomiser

Ash is including an excellent Nitecore charger and Efest batteries as a kit with the stainless steel Vamo v5
Then you just need to buy the Protank in the style you want

Not one problem. The only thing I would suggest would be to use both the plinth that comes with the protank and the vamo ring. It gives a solid base to screw onto and stops any pin problems and regulates air flow.

Thats where I got mine. Just so you know the gunmetal finish fades. Stainless does not

As I understand it (although I think people make it more complicated than it needs to be)

Ohms - is the resistance your coil gives
the lower the resistance the quicker it heats up, the faster the vapor production - good for short sharp pulls
the higher the ohms, the slower it heats up - Good for longer lung inhales

The more watts and Volts the faster and higher the temperature. (at least that's how I figure . . . I await the Ohms police to put me straight)

You could sit and work out V=I*R and so on but why bother with all that when you can use something like a Vamo, chuck in your tank and adjust the Watts or voltage to your taste?

What is your Vaping style? do you want to constantly drip liquid on every 5 mins for awesome flavour, or do you want to fill up a tank and vape til its gone or your battery dies?

Do you want to just buy replacement atomizer heads, or do you want to build your own?

Do you want it to be a skinny device or do you want a beast of a mod?

There's lots to be had at around £40-60 but it soon becomes an obsession


This is my brain on a regular basis

"Do I get another tank, another battery, oooh thats a nice drip tip, they do wraps for the Vamo?!! What's a passthrough? do I need one? Bacon Flavour ejuice?! Kanthal, SS Mesh, Micro coils . . nano coils . . . dragon coils???! Genny Atty . . . owww bunt my hand oxidizing my coil . . . "

Thanks for that quick un complicated explanation my SVD arrived yesterday and I am experimenting so simple is good

you'll get there bud it seems complicated at first but you'll be adjusting it without even looking soon enough and rewicking your protank with 1 hand.
