What's new

New to rta

there ares one is popping but no spit back though you reckon i should keep the galaxies?

there was another post i seen on this site they had problems with spitting this tank spitting from cold so maybe a tank issue

The Vapefly Galaxies mtl rta is a good rta for beginners.
If you've had the same problem with another rta then it suggests the issue is not the rta but something you are doing.

TBH im not sure why its been suggested its faulty to a someone new to rtas.

i didn’t suggest it was faulty. i said that it might be a duffer (in general, i meant, rather than a faulty item) or it might be that it doesn’t suit @Andy_s puff style. i think these are reasonable things to suggest.

some tanks are duffers, i’m sure you would agree. he’s not drinking the liquid with the ares, he’s told us. just doesn’t like it.

Hi @Andy_s

I've only just seen this thread, so I'm a bit late to the party. But I have a galaxies and a glaz mini.

FWIW I think you made a good choice with the glaz mini. It has, over time, become one of my favourite tanks - it seems really reliable, and free of the problems that crop up now and again with other tanks. It never has any flooding or gurgling after filling either, it just keeps on going. I really like it for that.

The galaxies does have a tendency to spit and gurgle a little bit more than other tanks in my experience - not loads, but a bit. (Might be to do with the wicking ports?) I'm not massively keen on the airflow system either.

One thing that I'm surprised not to have seen mentioned already are the gaps bnetween your coil wraps. In the original pic.

I know some are fans of spaced coils, but for me, any time I have sp[aces between wraps they always seem to spit, particularly the first fire from cold. I think the juice gathers between the coil wraps, above the cotton, and this causes the spitting.
