What's new

New to this. Info on Vamo V5 required please.

For he was only 24hrs from a Tesla. Well @Murphybarnes you have a couple of answers now. As suggested start at around 7 watts and see how it effects the vapour production and taste as you increase slightly. It will also depend on what liquid you are using either the PG/VG ratio or indeed if it is a fruit type or a custard or Toffee type, some will burn easily if you are set too high. What resistance coils are you using at the moment and what type of atomiser or clearomiser?

Thanks to all. It arrives Tuesday and I purchased it in a haze of glimpses of chrome and vapour from my first petrol station e-cig. Never used or even seen a MOD before and only ever vaped on the aforementioned cheapo e-cig, so you can imagine my trepidation. Not even sure how to fill the Vamo with e liquid. I'm sure I'll work it out, was just concerned I might fry something or fail to get the whole vaping thing and return to ciggies.
cheers.

Oh yeah, it was a "standard", gift box set from e bay for £49.99. Everything included. Batteries, charger etc.

Erm! - What kind of atomiser ( the thing you put the liquid in) comes with that?

CE4 atomiser apparently. I woulda send a link but it's beyond me. If anyone is interested just type in Vamo V5 on E Bay and it's on the first page at £49.99. Like I said I'm a noob in every respect.

Sorry about the delay in the replies, we all missed you for some reason.
I've had a look and yes ce4 clearomizers, see here for filling instructions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJRrHHlpeHg that's the first one I came across.
CE4's are disposable, and last anything from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.
Would suggest upgrading to rebuildable clearos, instead of replacing them, when they wear out.

Vamo mods are easy to use, just play around with the buttons and you will quickly see how it works, bit like playing around with a lcd digital watch, easy to memorize

Great vid, thanks. Wear out?...this is more confusing than I thought. I possibly have not budgeted enough. Ok , thanks for your patience, apart from my "kit" and my e liquids, (menthol and Old Holburn, for what it's worth) what other accoutrements should I be ordering?
i am obviously not precious about brand names and such, just toss me a few compatible parts I will require for regular vaping and suppliers and I think we are almost there.
oh........why do the clearomisers wear out? Is it the coil type thingy burning out?

Unfortunately yes, -sorry to break it to you, clearomisers do wear out and is usually due to the coil and / or wick.
Dont worry too much though, -you have already made your major purchase already, ---clearomisers can be replaced for a couple of quid.
Thing is with ce4's when they go 'pop' you have to throw the whole unit away and buy another. You can get ce5s (personally I would recommend the iclear16 of these) where you just replace the premade coil part and keep the unit. ( works out a bit cheaper).

However there are other kinds of clearos too such as evods, protanks, aspires, and a multitude of others. I would recommend that you have at least two clearos though when you are starting out, so that if one starts playing up you will always have a back up. Consider getting yourself one of these,- they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I love the aspires, -but most people on here would recommend the evod as the starter kit.

And that's just where your journey begins.... There is a lot more stuff out there where you can get better flavour, vapour, throat hit etc, but pretty much all of us have started out with a ce4 or an evod.
Good luck, let us know how you get on on Tuesday. I'm sure you'll love it :D

Ok. It's all becoming so much clearer now. One last thing, the Vamo comes with two different batteries, are these to be used separately or together, am I right in thinking this is so one is usually on charge and also can give different power outputs?
