Hello and welcome Louise. This must be very daunting for you, trying to find a full listing of whats in an e-liquid.

VaperCaper, MrKraken do you have any suggestions?

E-liquid is a mixture of varying amounts of about 4 different ingredients. Water, Nicotine, PG (propylene glycol) or VG (vegetable glycerin) and flavouring. Some liquids can have additional ingredients, but for the most part, these are the main ingredients to all e-liquid.

I think you'll find that it's the flavourings that have the warnings 'may contain.....'

I'll have to leave it to people more knowledgeable in flavourings to come along to offer more advice.

Allergens are a nightmare when it comes to ANY area of e-liquid. You COULD buy your own flavours, however, the vast majority of flavour manufacturers state that flavours are made in the same are as nuts/other flavourings. Hence the reason why you might find "may contain nuts" on a lot of eliquids. Due to some people being hyper-sensitive, we as e-liquid makers need to cover our own arses! Even if there's no nuts in there at all, but has been prepared in the vicinity of nut based liquids.

It's elf and safety gone mad i tells ya!

You could always just vape flavourless e-liquid, a lot of people do. You have a varied list there and it will greatly limit what I would recommend you vape as quite honestly, it's all a matter of tolerance level. You might have reactions from eating something that contains any of the above, but you may not have a reaction to vaping, or you could have a more serious reaction...

Perhaps trying just PG, VG and nicotine as Mr Kraken suggests.

Some people steep their own tobacco e-juice using tobacco leaves. If you are okay with the basics, perhaps this could be a way of adding flavour so you know exactly what's in there.

I'm not sure whether you could try something similar with other flavours? I steep lots of fruit in vodka or rum for drinking purposes. MrKraken or others, could you steep something like strawberry (only as an example) in PG / VG, would that work, if it was filtered before vaping?

Hi and welcome maybe get some unflavoured eliquid and add a few drops of menthol?

Hi agian

Hi and welcome maybe get some unflavoured eliquid and add a few drops of menthol?
thankyou so much all of you for trying to help me come up with solutions, i really appreciate it...as it is i smoke hand rolling tabaco with menthol tips, i only like menthol, and since the scare i had about my emphasema getting worse i really need to take action, i have tryed most of the NHS products and seem to become unwell from using them, as i have alot of other conditions wrong with me, my body can become very tempremental to what i eat or take even in medications, as the docs describe me, as a very uniquiqe person...which in real terms means flaming awkward (haha ) :) i then descoverd these e cigerettes, then as you know came up againts all these problems...but from what i can gather i could possibly try this unflaverd liquid with menthol drops...so what i need to know now is what exactly do i buy and where from.? is there a starter kit available and how do i go about doing this...i know i seem to ask alot but i have no idea sorry...and really need the help of you people. king regards Louise

Ask away we were all there once still learning myself tbh.
MrKraken does starter kits on his website I am sure he could point you in the right direction.

I really wouldn't recommend steeping anything in pg to make a flavour concentrate, "natural" flavourings are made by professional people who analyse a flavours chemical components and then create the flavour using those components, whilst omitting natures toxic chemicals...

Some companies DO "steep" in pg, but it's still a little bit more advanced than plonking a punnet in pg and then putting it in a bain-marie. I still have bags of tobacco that i have pulled from the site due to the TSN's and also the end result.

ok now im getting confused....to what is being said here, can just one of you plz point me in the right direction of what i can do.
sorry if i sound abrupt its not meant to sound that way...i just want to find some answers to my long serch in maybe trying something that is safe. hope you understand many thanks and kind regards Louise
