Newbie struggling...

Welcome, well done for stopping, I`ll keep mine short, quit first on pre made liquids.

Yeah soz, I do tend to over explain stuff a bit/LOT too much

maybe I should change my pic to Ted Striker.....

I skipped over yours at first as i never read long posts. I dont find anything wrong with the 88Vape liquid from £1 shop. I have some here." rolling leaf"

@Fuctifino is right, theres 0.5ohm and then theres 0.5ohm.

these are all quite old tanks but for example
a kanger occ or ssocc coil is rated 0.5 ohm - 15 - 30 watt
a uwell crown 1 coil is rated 0.5 dual = 30-80w
crown 2 coil is rated 0.5 = 50-80w
triton 2 0.5ohm = 40-45w

so knowing your tank will be handy to know.

LOL did not expect that much of answers straight away lol :D

Good luck buddy with keeping away from stinkies, and listen to the guys i've been away for all day and could not answer earlier but i think guys already gave u loads of anwers ;)

Welcome. I used Vapemate for long enough for DIY juice. I found that it was more expensive for concentrates when I started to crank up the flavour.
Mixing takes a lot of trial and error and if you want to stay off the fags, best buying decent pre made juice.
And no, there's nothing wrong with a £4.99 bottle of 88 Vape.
(You can even practice your mixing, with a nic shot in a 50ml bottle).

Good Luck. It's a very satisfying journey...:2thumbsup:

Thank you very much guys I think I have taken most of it in and have been experimenting a little! I picked up a new tank (new to me) it’s a kangertech CL 2.0 tank with a .5ohm coil! I seem to of found abit of flavour with it and chucking more flavour in my mixture! So kinda happy with it at the min!

Hello and welcome aboard,

Have you come across sweetvapes high vg juice ?
somewhere in the forum is a list of vendors and promo codes,
They work out about £7ish for 50ml worth of juice in a shirt fill bottle-
With a Nic shot on the side,

I found these to be quite decent ,
and half the price of what my local vape shop charge,

i know nothing about this tank but a quick search shows whats in the box.
  • 1 x CLTank 2.0 by Kangertech
  • 1 x 0.5ohm CLOCC Stanless Steel Coil Head (pre-installed)
  • 1 x 0.15ohm CLOCC Ni200 TC Coil Head
please note if you do have a Ni200 coil in the box this must NOT be used in wattage mode. it has nickel wire in it and must only be used in TC temperature control mode.

Thanks guys for all your help!
I’m a dtl guy just seems more natural to me than mtl! (Thanks for the meaning of dtl & mtl as well)

I tried for a 70/30% vg/pg with 3mg nic based on vg!

No just a single flavour I wasn’t feeling that adventures to try mixing up flavours!

I will have a proper look at your list today for different concentrates and also some scales..

Im using a .5ohm coil and it’s set on 27w!

You guys are friendly and probably also holding your head in your hands thinking oh god he’s in over his head!

Off to go and look for scales and better concentrate!

Hi Ian, :welcome2: to the Planet :lilmonkey2:, and congrats on quitting the stinkies...keep it up!

I've only been vaping for 9 months, so the all the advice above is sound..but i would mention, if it hasn't already, that the higher the VG you go, generally the less flavour you'll get..as it's the PG that helps deliver the taste. Hoever, having said that, i use both MTL & a DTL set up, and get decent flavour from my Crown SE 1 tank, which uses .5 ohm coils & 70VG/30PG juice (premade), and the flavour response is fab.

So maybe best try some premades first before you dabble further in the world of DIY juices. The only other thing i might add is this, whilst i have no experience with Kangertech myself, but you could try increasing the wattage a little more on yours. I have a Uwell Crown SE tank on a Tesla Steampunk mod, using premade 0.5 ohm coils, and currently have the power set at 42 watts. Produces decent vapour and flavour and the coil is perfectly fine at that wattage. Just a thought.

Anyhoo, no question is too silly or dumb on here mate, i got loads of help when i started back in March, and i'm all the better for it too, we're a freindly bunch in 'ere! :friends:

So, :hello: and :goodluck: with your vaping journey!
