Nicotine concerntration?

Evening

Ive been looking today to DIY my own vape juice.

first question is where do you guys buy your ingrediants?

My second question relates to nicotine strength

I currently smoke double drip 50/50 original tobacco 18mg/ml. I like this so when I diy I want to acheive something similar.

I get the 50/50 pg/vg part but what is confusing me is the the nicotine part. My understanding is the 18mg/ml of my current shop bought mix means 18mg of tobacco per ml of liquid.

But ive looked at various on line diy shops and the only nicotine I can buy is nicotine shorts like the one below

This nicotine is meant to be added to the mix but the bottle says it has 18mg per ml of nicotine Straight from the bottle. I would have to vape this neat to get the same strenght of nicotine??

Am I correct? how do you guys do it?

Hi @Jordan Leadsham and welcome to the planet.
while we wait for the experts to reply heres a few bits that might help.

sadly since the TPD law came into effect in the uk the maximum strength nicotine you can buy is 18/20mg
these nic shots appeared as a loophole for shortfill 50/100ml bottles but mainly to make final mix of 3 or 6mg.
adding any more nicotine shots will just weeken the flavour too much.
1 x 18mg nic shot added to a shortfill of 50ml will make a final mix of 60ml at 3mg nicotine strength or at a push 2 nic shots to 40ml will make 60ml at 6mg
legally we cant openly talk about 72% nicotine on a public forum as it is suposedly now classed as not for human consumption and only designed for buisinesses with a buisiness account. (someone may be able to advise by private message where it is still available).

Hi and welcome to the Planet.
Unfortunately when using 18mg nic shots when you DIY, this limits you to the maximum strength you can achieve overall. You can get near it using a mixture of pg nic shots and vg nic shots then adding ur flavour concentrate.
Was much easier in the days prior to tpd when higher nic was available.
