Hi, I'm fairly new to vaping and after a few months using axpod system I've moved on to a sub ohm tank. Overall I'm really enjoying the new liberty flights xo style kit however I have a question regarding refilling it please. Every time I add more juice the first 5 or 10 times I use it I get very little vapour and it's a little harsh on the throat. After this it's back to normal I can vape for the rest of the day normally with great flavour and big clouds. I've tried filling it less, closing airflow during filling, different juice etc nothing seems to solve this. I'm not letting it run dry the juice never drops below the wick holes in the coil. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks, David

What eliquid brand / flavour are you using?

What Pg/VG ratio (it will be on the bottle)?

What nicotine strength is it?

What OhM coil? And when did you last change it?

As you say 'harsh' for the first five or ten draws after filling, I'm guessing the nicotine strength may be a bit strong for you with this kit, but then you adjust to it, only to rinse and repeat when you refill.

Have you tried refilling it before it gets to the level you normally do?

Hi, thanks for coming back to me. It's a 0.5 coil and the juice is liberty flights I've tried 70%vg and 75%vg both 6mg. Generally the nicotine is a good strength and I can happily vape it no problems it's just after refilling that its harsh on the throat. There is significantly less vapour production just after refilling for first 10 or so draws. I'm still on my first coil as I've only had it a week I was thinking I would switch the coil in a few days but would you suggest swapping it now? Thanks

6mg in a .5 coil is going to be interesting!

You need air holes fully open, having them smaller reduces the airflow and clouds.

What flavour profile is it you are vaping?

I wouldn't necessarily say change the coil, perhaps close the airflow, refill, do a fake draw (don't press the button), then open air flow and vape as normal.

It's possible your wick is drying out a little and not getting enough juice back on it to start with.

I'll give that a go thanks. I'm using sweet custard / cake type flavours. I think I'll also try getting some 3mg liquid and see if it helps. Thanks for your advice.

That's a strange one indeed. You would imagine that even in an empty tank a coil which had been vaping well up till that point would have sufficient liquid in it to give at least a few more vapes. Yours would appear to be doing the complete opposite.

I reckon you’re flooding the coil every time you refill it. Maybe try taking a long pull on it as soon as you’ve put the top cap back on.

That's what I thought, even if I just add a few drops it happens, dont get it. Dont get me wrong I can live with it and still much prefer this setup to my old pod system, just would be nice if it didnt happen.

Are you using 10ml 6mg bottles or shortfill with nic shots added? Either way 6mg strength sub ohm vaping is gonna be pretty harsh
