Hello everyone, my name is Matt and I found this website through Purplefowler. This is my story.

I am a 36 yr old non smoker that smokes! To elaborate, I have quit smoking three times in the last two years, once going cold turkey and the other times using patches. The problem is that my quitting only lasts a few months then I start to have the odd smoke here and there and before you know it am back buying baccy.

I really think that vaping is the answer to my troubles as I can still enjoy the feeling and nicotine of smoking but not the nasties that come with analogues.

So my opening line states that I would like to get it right first time and that pretty much sums it up really. I want to buy once and buy right. The direction I am leaning towards is the Provari mini. This is as far as my lurking here has got me. I wish somebody just did a kit where everything (including instructions for retards) was included.

Could you kind folks help me out with a list of what is needed as I understand you need mouthpieces and other bits and bobs. That's before I even start to decipher what the heck the juice types mean.

Yours, very confused,

Matt.

They basically consist of 3 things:

A Battery

An Atomiser (which heats up the E-Liquid)

and a Drip Tip (which is the mouth piece)

The question is, which one is the best, but the answer to that can only be determined by you.

Do you want one that looks like a cigarette, small and compact, but which requires frequent charging and can leave you without a device at all if you forget to charge.

Do you want something a little bigger that can last you longer (Like an EGO Kit?) quite a few of those can be found on our Marketplace - http://marketplace.planetofthevapes.co.uk/

Or do you want to go full blown right into the biggest battery mods available? Those can last you a day or two and depending on which one you get, can last you a life time.

If you are NIC FREE now, try to stay that way and get 0mg E-Liquids ;) but if you really want a Nic fix, and havent had nicotine for a while, start low and work your way up or down until you are comfortable.

My suggestion? An Ego Clearomiser kit with a second battery, and a bunch of smaller bottles of e-liquid to sample til you find what you like!

PS :hello: and welcome to the forum!

Hello and welcome Triplexbee, I was the same quit a few times but always went back, but since Vaping I'm now in my 14 month without the need for an analogue so think this Vaping lark is working

Thanks for the quick responses so far. The wiki is invaluable and I really should have read that first.

I do want to dive in at the deep end and go for something that I won't need to upgrade when I realise that vaping is for me.

Could the Ego clearomiser that has been suggested keep me satisfied for years to come?

Months maybe a year. :)

Nearly everything in vaping is either disposable or semi-disposable. Cartomisers/Clearomisers/Atomisers all have an indefinite lifespan and will need replacing at some point. Batteries just like the ones we use every day, have a limited lifespan as well, depending on how often they are used and charged ect.

Hey hey you made it :D good to see you, I was wondering how you were getting on! The good thing with vaping is if you buy some kit and decide vaping isn't for you, you can always flog it and get most of your money back. How's things over on matureps3gamers.com these days? I've been trying to rustle up some ps3 gamers here but they are mostly Xbox/pc which is a shame cos we could have had a forum fight, lol! With KulrMeStoopid and Brinksi on this side we would have whipped you lot :D you really can't go wrong with a provari, I love both of mine and they are well made so last for ever. Any questions just yell and you'll be inundated with help, we are a very friendly lot over here :D it's a shame we can't get oc to try vaping-I'd love to see what he could do with an ecig :D

I'm good thanks purple, as is the good ship mpg. Shame about the wrong console choice of your members as it would have been good fun to have some 'challenges'.

I don't even want to begin to think about oc and an ecig but now I have eeugh damn you!

A question I would like to know the answer to is about how to vape. I have watched a number of YT vids and everyone seems to vape like cigar smokers I.e not inhaling.

I can not smoke and I imagine vape without Inhaling. Is this going to be a problem for me?

The reason they do that is it shows how much vapour is produced. Vaping is slightly different to smoking but you still inhale. At first it helps to hold the vapour in your mouth before taking it into your lungs as it can get you in the back of the throat if you ain't used to it :)

Hi Triplexbee, welcome to POTV, if you ultimately want less faff, and to go with the solid performing provari, maybe you need to start off with a bit of faff, certainly, get two clearomisers, to keep you going, but also buy an Aga T2 kit, and an Igo L, these will be items that last a mighty long time, they both require coiling though, faff to begin with, but alright once you get the hang of it, both have instruction videos on how to build on youtube, and whilst all this may make you groan, in the long run, it could drive you less mental.
