Perfect coils dont exi-

If I can weigh in here.

Firstly, well done for sticking around and not throwing your toys out of the prism as so many others have done in a similar situation. As has been said we just don’t want to see an accident happen that’s all.

Your calculations above seem ok, and with a 0.34 build on a series mech you’d pull around 25A at 8.4V, which will never be the case as with voltage drop you’re only likely to see 8.1, 8.0 volts in reality. HOWEVER, you’ve done the right thing by calculating for 8.4V.

My personal advice would be don’t run that low purely because the vape will be red hot and battery life will be poor which sort of defeats the object of a series mech in my eyes.

With any mech, your battery wraps and especially your top insulators should be in tip top condition, don’t take a chance if there’s even a small nick in your insulation.

If you go to use the mech and it doesn’t fire, immediately put it down and leave it a minute, this indicates a problem and potential short - remove the batteries with caution and investigate once a little time has passed so the batteries can vent if they’re going to.

Also, well done on getting good batteries from a reputable supplier, but obviously realise that you are the safety in a mech, and always fire your build on a regulated device to check for shorts beforehand.

The guys above are all experienced and knowledgeable, they are very passionate about people not getting hurt, so don’t take it to heart.

Personally, if you want to blow massive clouds then that’s fine in my book, we’re all individuals but please do it safely.

What sort or childhood did you have, in a science lab [emoji23]

Thankyou for your support. My mech has arrived today and im just building on it now. Im doing a single coil build which is reading at about 0.9ohms at the moment.

Just be careful and listen to the excellent advice given. It's well meant, and we have had a quite a few idiots over the years arrive on this forum, ask for advice and then start arguing and ignore it ..... which tends to worry safety-conscious people. You did sound a bit like one of those at first ........ just remember that doing the maths and actually vaping a mech are very different things. Experience counts. Take it slowly until you really have a feel for what you're doing. And enjoy it.
