You should have received a card. Go on this website. Input your NHS number, The system should recognise that you have had your first jab and you will be able to schedule your next appointment. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coron...rus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

I don't think I should mate, there were literally hundreds of people getting vaccinated when I did and nobody got one.... it's all recorded, details taken and when I went in etc. I don't need a card.

If they bring them in a smartphone won't be necessary. There will be alternative options for those that don't own one. Simple as that.

It's not simple, the technology to keep an individuals covid status and history, up to date, is far more tricky to do, if it's not done digitally. The impending trial of covid passports will almost certainly be 100% based around digital first and smart phones. Boris's private sector chums are going to make a fortune out of this, whether the shit works, or not.

It's incredibly simple; if you don't own a smartphone you won't be excluded. That's what I'm talking about. You're clearly talking about something else entirely.

If your first jab was organised or notified to you, via your GP / surgery (like my wife was), then you would've only got the first jab appointment. If you received a letter, direct from the nhs, like I did, both jab appointments are booked at the same time. I have my second appointment booked, my wife doesn't, it's odd. You still should've been carded though.

It maybe a regional thing. I got my letter from NHS but only had the initial jab so far, the second jab is due May but so far i have no appointment. My lass works in a care home, she had the first 2 weeks or 3 before i got mine and she hasn't had her app for the top up either. I am sure i had my first Jab Feb 25th marked on my card they have put 25 of Jan. your name is written at the top of the card 2 sections below for Jab 1 and jab 2, these have the vaccine name, batch number and date given, you then take the card with you and the next jab info iadded. This should then be your passport if you will. All thats needed is a database for all batch numbers of the different jabs which are given. Folks who then try to forge a card would need the info to fill in the card if they did and the data didn't match it's game over, remember each bottle contains is it 6 doses, so only the six folks given it's names would match the database. Yes folks could just claim to be someone else by using someone elses card. Maybe a covid passport should be made including security features to prevent false use.

ah, that will be it. I've had excellent reception on my phone since.

no need for a card when they are tracking you 24/7 now, they’ll tell you when your next appointment is remotely through the chip :D

The restrictions won't only apply to pubs. They'll apply to a whole range of things. If you truly believe people without smartphones will be excluded - have at it. We'll see. Get your wallet out and we'll have a bet.

They wouldn't be excluding you because you don't have a smart phone. They would be excluding you because you can't prove you've been vaccinated via a smartphone. It's on the government to provide alternative arrangements if they bring in the restrictions. Otherwise they are restricting your freedoms because you don't have a smart phone to prove something that they are making it mandatory to prove. Restricting you because of a killer virus is one thing, restricting you because of the tech you own is something else.

to be honest, i don’t really believe anything about it, i don’t think it’s a cert they will do it, in fact. and if they do there is a good chance of it being a shambles and not working.

how will it even work? will it extend to things like supermarkets? i doubt it would be able to, but then what would be the point of it at all?

The plan was to get rid of all the non smartphone users by not lettin em b able to book vaccine appts, remember?
:-)

I very much doubt it too, the right to free movement brigade will have a field day with this, anyway what's the point, beaches n parks are mobbed, public transport is an indoor thing ( jam packed)...... it's utter nonsense to make some folks a few million

Not sure mate. Supermarkets are a necessity so I don't think they'd be able to include them.

I'm sure the whole thing will be a balls up. At least for a while. Or it'll end up being another ridiculously expensive exercise.

Personally, I'd rather just stay at home.
