Problem with the Kensei

I think people have had this similar problem with the Kylin but I seem to have got the chimney stuck on my Kensei.

I've tried various suggestions online on removing it and I'm now at a point of throwing it out the window. Luckily I'm now back on my Ammit which I've never had any problems with but it's really annoying me now as I would like to use it.

Any other suggestions on removing the chimney would be appreciated. The last thing I tried was freezing it for several hours and gripping it with a rubber glove.

Don't understand what you mean by the chimney is stuck. Can you elaborate or post a pic please?

The little tool on the very right of the pic is for undoing a stuck chimney.

After the problems with the Kylin I would presume all the Kensei's shipped with this - have you checked the spares bag?

maybe dry juiced so try putting it in hot water to melt the juice and ir may unscrew easily. I have had this happen with other RTA's and used it as a last resort, after rubber gloves , freezing etc

This piece.

The little tool does absolute jack with regards to removing this piece.

I'm going to try it again but with boiling water.

The only time I had trouble with one of those I had to use grips.

Trust me I've tried every effort to remove the thing except from placing it in a vice. Don't want to destroy it.

Ah ok. So everything else has been removed apart from the chimney that is stuck on the base and the base just spins in both directions without unscrewing from the chimney section?

Or it doesn't turn at all in either direction?

Not exactly. It spins but then locks into place. I've even managed to get a screwdriver into the top and remove all the coils and cotton but still will not come off.

So at the moment, my Ammit has a nice new drip tip :18:
