So ive ordered some 32gauge (or 0.2mm if you prefer) kanthal wire and some 2mm vodoowool to try rebuilding my protank 2 for the first time.
Assuming I put a needle down the middle of the voodowool, how many wraps of the kanthal wire will I need to get 2ish ohms..... roughly speaking.

I know I should just try it and check the ohms..... but im waiting to get my multimeter back off a mate, which is likely to take longer to arrive than the wire and voodoowool (I just had a text message from stealthvape that my order had been dispatched...... how great is that!!... I only ordered it last night).

Anyhow.... 32gauge kanthal.... roughly 2ohms..... how many wraps?

Cheers now

Hmm i used to know this, 5 wraps or there abouts i think (assuming its 2mm coil)

4,5 or 6 wraps with your 32awg, (all will do the job) and, depending upon how close together you do your wraps, this will give you anywhere between 1.5 and 2 (point a tad-sh) ohms. Torch the voodoo after the build, so that you can get that 'clean taste' from your first vape. No need to add any additional flavour wicks with 2mm voodoowool.

Not heard about torching the voodoowool.
Cheers for info
I have no idea whether torching the voodoo is 'normal practice', it's just something I do because i find that I get a faint plasticy/rubbery taste for the first few vapes, if I don't pre-torch.

So ive made a 4, 5 and 6 wrap rebuilds. Thanks to all the youtube vids, online post and advice here, I found it very straight forward!
Should be able to test resistance soon.... fingers crossed.
I dont notice much difference between them, but I have got a cold.
Voodoo wool nice to work with and provides a firm base to wrap wire around
I did find that without a top wick the coils hiss and spit loads, so popped more voodoo wool on top..... but this makes the draw a bit tight.... so for the moment I but the original flavour wicks back in..... need to order some 1mm voodoo or eko wool.

Cheers for advice all
