Can anybody explain if there are any advantages/disadvantages of using twisted Silica wick against the hollow braided Ekowool..??

The braided Ekowool just looks easier to work with.. as the braided stuff that came in my EVOD's just fell apart when I tried to clean/tweek em..

Whistler Thanks for all the effort! Great guide. The pin. Do you wrap the coils around both the wick and it? And what about leaking? You use a top wick? If not, any leaking? How many mm is that silica?

Wrap it round the pin and the wick. Usually use 2mm for the wick. Then either 2 x 1mm or a 2mm flavour wick on top. So far I have had no leaking or gurgling issues at all

I use 2 mm wicks and apart from the needle and the folding of the connectors, do pretty much what you showed. Leaks like hell..
