protank/evo etc gurgling leaking fix

I have the airflow controller too and bought from myepack. I love the fact I can adjust it and get a tighter draw as I found it too airy without it. But this alone did not stop the leaking in to the chimney unfortunately with the genuine coils.

Yeah I leave one on my mod all the time looks a bit naff sometimes but protects my mod threads as I'm always swapping out tanks

That's a great idea. So when it comes to refilling you just unscrew the tank and leave the airflow controller on the mod?

Yeah noticed that the stainless tank threads were ripping up my 510 and I was getting wobbly tank syndrome I leave it in place all the time

I second what most people have said. General leaking issues have to do with a lot of factors...the flavor wicks, the grommets being defective, broken or too big o-rings, even the threads not being tight enough. And, of course, the coil. I tend to coil with cotton and rarely have leaking problems because cotton just soaks so much up!

I'm not going to mention the vacuum, caused by the air in the top of the tank. Which slows down the wicking process . When air is drawn through the device, this counters the vacuum, allowing more wicking to take place. To much wicking leads to leaks and gurgling.

Further to rewicking/coiling the protank, the position of the coil to the wicks will affect the heat of the vape, mine is cooler now due to single coil.
more heat and possibly flavour may be released by placing the coil at the top of the stack. but the spitting may return....
The protank has a few pros but also a few cons not least of which is the heat being lost to the juice in the tank, which makes it thinner, which worsens leaking/flooding
Pros are build quality for price and glass tank.

I have skipped most posts in here sorry short on time ATM but I did check the link and tried it with an extra rubber grommet and it works wicked now so thank you for this great tip :)

I also coil with cotton and a microcoil. very few leaks
