Question about coil position Taifun GTIV

Looks about right to me, just center it a bit, you get a very nice vape from the gt4, I ran mine with 26awg kanthal A1 at around 1 ohm with airflow fully open and they worked very well.

Odd question time: what is the advantage/disadvantage of a 1ohm coil vs say 0.5ohm? I understand all the maths and such while making a coil and their application in a mech mod, although it took a while to get the cogs turning, but I'm interested in the theory of coil ohm ratings and what a higher versus lower ohm will do for vaping. Sorry if this has been answered before is really obvious but I'm a bit slow on the uptake sometimes

For me a simple kanthal coil gave me plenty of vape/flavour and a faster ramp up than a more complex coil also vaping at lowish watts = longer battery life, but this is just me of course others quite rightly will do otherwiise.
