Quick Build and Review of the FT Aqua V2

Hi guys,

Received my Aqua V2 today from FT.

It's the cheaper 304 stainless steel one.

Thought I would do a quick build tutorial as seen others have struggled



So first I washed everything in hot soapy water, and gave it a good dry. No machine oil smell so far so good



Chucked a couple of dual coils in.
Post holes make it very easy to build.

10 wraps of 0.4mm round a 2.5mm drill bit came out at 0.58ohm.



Wicked it up with some Muji.
Nice and snug but not choked, remember it swells



Primed the cotton and pushed the wick into the juice channels loosely.



Quick test fire, so far so good.
This custard smells lush



Filled the tank.
Easy to fill, just a needle nose bottle in one of the four fill holes.



Bumped her up to 28 watts and its a lovely vape.
Smooth and flavourful.

No leaks / dry hits and looks smashing.

How you're not getting dry hits with that much wick in the juice channels is beyond my understanding. I have to taper mine like on an Erlkonigin.

I got one 2 days ago and found flavour is muted. Using .30 Kenthal 6 wrap 2.0mm dual coil around .60 ohm and I cannot get it wicking right seems to flood!

I have tried 6 different builds in this and think I've nailed it, then nope. It's either muted, lack of vapour, dry hits. Driving me mad. Really feel like firing it at the wall. Decided to give it a few days and come back to it. In the mean time been chuffing on a subtank nano with the 0.5 occ coil. Lovely it is too. Sometimes I really wonder why I bother with rebuildables....shit just makes me angry and frustrated.

I switched to a heavier VG juice and did need to taper the wicks and also leave about a 1mm gap at the bottom of a juice channel.

This thing delivers though, a great vape.

Many thanks to Mr.Motivapr, followed your guide and although my set up came out at 0.63ohm, it works great and my newly delivered Boba's Bounty tastes fantastic, cheers mate.
