I've managed to get myself in a state withdrawing a few times now, paracetamol help with the discomfort and if you know any Reiki practitioners get yourself a treatment, it should knock a few days off your recovery time.

Reiki? That works? I don't think I know anyone.... :-( Ibuprufen it will be, I guess....
I do think I actually caught a "real" cold. I was out with some friends last week and 2 of them are down with it as well, and they hadn't given up smoking. Probably both of it together.

The cough is the worst. It's a dry cough, so I don't think it is related to quitting, but it hurts like hell, the numbing effects from stinkies is definitley missing...

when I was smoking I used to always get chest infections but now since I stopped i'm fine I did get a bit of cold symptoms - sore throat cough etc it was just my body expelling all the toxins though.

Suffering this right now and it's awful. I'm hoping it has hit its peak though. I was terrible last night but don't feel quite so bad this morning. I've been looking online and apparently it's normal to have symptoms, but I have to keep looking because it felt so awful. I quit eight years ago but never experienced anything as bad as this.

I visited a mates the other night and been suffering the same since. I've started vaping menthol and aniseed in an almost 100% VG mix as I cough up my lungs if there's any TH, even nicotine strength is down to a miserable 4mg.

Don't panic. I am much better now. It just takes some time. People on the stop smoking forums also get it and they use patches or other stuff, seems perfectly normal.
I am suddenly feeling much better all around. Not just quitters flu gone, but just feeling healthier all over. Since yesterday, 1 day after the 3-week mark.
