I agree, the amount of times I used to burn myself while trying to build coils and not having any clue how to do so was astounding, and I still have the scars to prove it. That being said, I just recently came back to vaping, and built a few sub ohm coils, of course before doing this I made sure all of my gear was up to the task, and followed/read many guides.
I think the problem lies in instant gratification, everyone who is just starting out wants clouds immidieately, and they never go through the proper precautions. Thats how accidents happen and people get hurt, my advice to all the beginners is to start with an ego, do your research and slowly move up, buy what is reccomended for sub-ohming, follow the advice of the more experienced vapers and remember there is always a risk..
Its progress not perfection, when I first started I could barely build a functioning coil, because I always tried to do things my way, now, with the help of my local vape shop and following guides on here, I finally know a bit about what im doing, and I feel safe vaping on a .47 coil as we speak.
