Thanks for taken the time to do the drawing that's a great help. the 510 i have has a tab to solder the negative on , would it be ok to solder the battery negative and the board negative together on the tab so as i dont have to solder twice? now i just have to figure how to solder to the 510 positive pin without melting the gromit ,if i take it off first it looks like i won't be able to able to get it back on over the solder , i guess i will push the pin down from the top and solder fast. what do you think? Thanks.

Yes solder at the 510 negative for both
Have a watch at this hopefully helps

old tin mod 001.JPG

that area ringed in white is the most dangerous it needs no way shape or form to even think about touching the tin

solder to a proper copper ring the crimp ones are too thin and snap easy I would get a proper 510 from stealth vape etc

to solder the 510 take the 510 apart slip the nut negative connection cup and the spring over the wire then solder into the pin and reassemble

Thanks for the info, i will be lining the tin so the wire won't touch i also have a couple more 510 s so i will see if i can find a better one . Thanks again for your help i might also replace the wires from the battery sled as i'm not sure if they are thick enough ?
