Reaction to Kanthal?

Heey. Weird, but was wondering if anyone had experienced/ an idea of what is going on. Been vaping about a year and a half an now pretty exclusively use RDA's. But I have mostly been buying pre rolled clapton wire and coils (kanthal) with no problem. I recently started wrapping my own, and got the wire from juice junkie/ stealth vape (Kanthal a1). However, I seem to be having a reaction maybe? as the pre made coils are fine, but when I vape on the ones I made from the Kanthal I start having a weird burning sensation, like a hot drink, and canker sores, and pretty sure it's the wire. Anyone have an idea what going on? Weird that it's the same material. Thanks!

Let the interrogation begin:

What resistance were the pre made coils?
What resistance are you building too with the spooled Kanth?
What kit are you using them on?
Any other differences such as juice, cotton, power levels or kit used?
Did you dry burn the new coils and check for hot spots?

Haha. The pre made cool a were around a 0.19-0.23 depending on which ones I got. With the spooled Kanthal it is about 0.21 for fused. Using them on a hexohm v3, tried them on both the goon and recoil RDA's and haven't used any other juice in case it was that or different cotton or anything, sameish power. Checked for hot spots and dry burned, even washed underwater and I got a slight metallic taste with the juice junkie wire. Weird as it was almost the same thing with some nichrome 80 coils a bough but put it down to the ni 80

Can you just confirm what you have bought wire wise? And the stuff is made with kanthal?
Is it spools of fancy claptony wires?
Or standard straight wire?

Herself has issues with Nichrome and SS as it has nickel in it which as it turns out she is allergic too, the wee lamb...

It might be that the fancy coils you have also have Nichrome as the wrap which could explain the problem.
If you could post links to what kit you got, further deductions can be made.

So both Kanthal, supposedly! Very strange. And nichrome allergies the worst!

Thanks so much for the help. Annoyingly seems nothing is working just so weird, if I use the pre bough coils it's fine, but even if I use Kanthal a1 parallel build I seem to get a tongue burning sensation and caked sores. Anyone have any ideas? I can't build anything!
