Hi guys

I feel i have got to the stage where i've done enough research to start building my own coils.
It's not so much to save money, more the fact im getting a bit sick of the kanger coils as they seems to lack flavour and vapour.
i have been advised the taste and experience completely changes once you get the hang of making your own.

Before i get ordering, i just need a bit of advice on the following.

What size wick / wire will work best with a kanger pro tank mini and a pro tank 2?
Im looking for around 1.8ohms so what size wire shall i purchase? i think i read somewhere .32 should be perfect with around 5 wraps?
Also im looking to upgrade my battery, i've only really been using cheap battery's lately so im looking to upgrde slightly, price limit is around £50.00, VV/VW will be good if i can get something for that sort of price.

Thanks

Elliot

I always use a 2mm silica for the protank then lay another piece over the top as flavour? wick.Definatley invest in a ohm checker if you are rebuilding at use this as a rule of thumb(protanks I use .2 kanthal)

stealthvapeswirechart_zpsff597b2f.jpgas usual thanks go to Stealthvape for this

Get urself an mvp mod from myepack full kit for 36 quid the mod won't fire under 1.2 ohms but the ohm checker on it will read lower

Hi All

thanks for replying so quick, sorry i should of stated, i have already purchased an Atomiser ohm reader.

Would you be able to recommend a website where i can get both the wick and wire in one order? or will i have to use a few different places to get each component.

thanks

IMO, 2mm wick (perfect size to lose the flavour wick), .30 kanthal around 5 turns. A 1300 mAh Vision Spinner VV is simple, robust, lasts the day and does the job nicely.

Good luck

ive recoiled and wicked a few evods with 2mm wick .20 wire five turns and they come in @ 2.0-2.2 ohms

A cheap dripper is also an excellent intro to coil building and great flavour - something like an Igo-L is easy to manage, light on the pocket and really opens up the flavour of your juices.

And +1 on stealthvape http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/ for quality wick and wire - plus I believe he's running a compeition at the moment if you order over £10's worth of stuff :)

Hi Guys

thanks for your info, i have just purchased myself an itaste mvp 2.0!
I shall also be buying some kanthol as well as 2mm wick.
I was looking into the idea of a dripper and i will also buy one of these from stealth, they do recommend you using your own wire etc so i will use my kanthol and new wick to pratice on the dripper.

Just a quick question with the MVP, i see with the 2.0 they have add an ohm reading feature, does any one know if this is pretty accurate? Surely if it's not far off, i could just use the MVP to test my built coils?

Thanks

Elliot
