Recipe mega thread

peps1 thank you I'm on a mission to get this right before I go to bournemouth in August. In a batch I use 17.5% custard, 2% dulce de leche and 0.5% Sweetner. I vape this all the time and I'm happy with it. Ive been asked to put in some caramel and biscuit (it's a thank you for a fellow ape that's helped me loads) Ive tried adding a little millionaire shortcake in one batch and it came out to sweet, I tried adding a little caramel and ghraham cracker with no Sweetner and it basically tasted like a creamy caramel. (Which was enjoyable but not what I'm going for) I think I've been overthinking things and need some advice.

I think 17.5% Custard is quite high (for a blend) and will really drown out other flavour.

I would consider trying something more along the lines of:

Custard 7-10%
Dulce de Leche 2-4%
Graham Cracker 2-4%
Caramel 2-3%
sweetner @ 1 drop per 10ml

(this should give you something close to a caramel cheese cake)

Its certainly not a rule, or the "right" way to do it, but I tend to get my best results keeping the total % of concentrates under 20% of the total juice.

I would also start with low % and pick one flavour at a time to increase/decrease, get that right and move onto the next flavour, and then cycle back through them, as some may have been where you wanted them, but by the time you got the last ingredient, maybe they have become a little more lost in the mix....and by only changing one flavour at a time, it much easy to keep track of things!

Thanks peps1 I normally do my flavours at 20% so didn't really want to go over that. I'm glad I asked now as my lil brain was struggling. Some sound advice and I will be putting it into practice tomorrow as ive got the day off work. Hopefully should come up with something before August. Thanks again for the help.

Sorry, there were some issues with vendors wanting any reference to their juices removed from the thread, and Mothers Milk was one of them.

I will be adding some generic taste alike creamy dessert strawberry custards, but they will not be listed as "Mothers Milk"

Hi guys fairly new to mixing have tried a few makes but just recently i have ordered kandi head consentrates i was just looking for your guys opinions on them. like fruit and mint flavors. I have tried a few premium juice like mothers milk etc and to be honest i found mothers milk quite sickely and i thought it tasted just like hangsen strawberry milkshake with a fancy bottle and 4 times the price. I tried it on a dripper and various tanks and couldn't take to it. I mostly vape hangesen mix berry and strawberry. I plan next week on mixing up a few my new ones from kandi head (vape 247) just wondered a opinion on 10 or 20 % mixes do fruit take longer than mint do you use less. And finally what you recommend on steeping time and how you do it like lid of in a cool dark room or in fridge etc. I understand everyone have different preferences and opinions and that's what i am looking for what works best for you. Cheers guys

peps1 I'm after some help making vanilla custards. I'm trying to get a jax or hodges homebrew style. Not necessarily a clone, just something close. I've made a couple of the GVC and the best was 12% vanilla custard, 2% dulce de leche and 2 drops of ethyl maltol per 10ml and it's decent, but not right. Have you got any tips or any custard recipes that have worked for you?

V2 capella custard @15-18% is better

Hello sjf ive used Kandi Head many times and there's nowt wrong with them, I mix all my flavours at 20% and I like there Tigers Blood (I find more citrus taste the longer you steep) I also like the caramel mocha, only one I haven't liked is passionate dragon (had to change the Muji after running it through my attie) For me I give liquids a warm steep overnight then put them in a dark cupboard. I find most fruits are good the next day but everyone's taste is different. I never vape mint so can't give any advice on that.
