I've just sent an e-mail to the Prime Minister's Office, about the EU Revision of Tobacco Products, although I'm sure it will be read by one of his 'minions'!......
BUT perhaps if hundreds or thousands of e-mails suddenly appear, someone might, just might take notice! To be honest, I think anything is worth a try.

I selected 'contact Prime Minister's Office' option.
My 'Title' was 'EU Revision of Tobacco Products'
Unfortunately, you don't get much room! It's only 1000 characters and I literally used every one!
Once done, I received an e-mail with a link to click, to verify my e-mail address and send the message, reproduced in full below. Much as I wanted to 'rant', I forced myself to remain calm and polite....damn tricky, that one!
Please note...the second sentence in my letter below, starting "There is significant data" was taken and adapted by me, from another article I read, but I'm sorry, I cannot remember where it came from and I didn't keep a reference.
Dear Prime Minister, I would be most grateful if you could review the harm reduction of e-cigarettes vs smoking tobacco, in the light of the EU Revision of Tobacco Products & it's impact on the future health of the UK population. There is significant data available for long-term human consumption of nicotine, & all of this evidence either proves (actual statistics & epidemiology) or strongly demonstrates (hundreds of clinical studies) that long-term ad lib consumption of nicotine by humans has very low risk. The risk to health lies in the combustion & inhalation of tobacco. I'm sure you are aware that Pharma companies are supporting this ban, both verbally & financially as they have billions of pounds in lost revenue at stake. On a more personal note, my health is at stake. Simply put, NRT has a failure rate of 92-97%, including myself! After over 30 years of smoking, I have given up lighting tobacco. My heath & life expectancy are quite literally in your hands. Thank you, My Name.
