Mine don't seem very secure with a tank. They have redone the adaptor new version has o ring seals

I have a pretty big and weighty tank on mine (non-tpd) the magnets hold it fine. I can pick it up by the tank and hold it sideways by the mod or tank and it doesn't come off.

I guess it could come off in your pocket or if you chucked it in a bag, but mine is solid in use.
