smoker's reactions to vaping?

Most of the time people notice the smell before anything. Happens alot. I tell them about what it is, they have a couple puffs and they are impressed by it. A few times said person has even gone at got their own kit :)

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Planet of the Vapes mobile app

My workmate is impressed by my kit-last time I saw him,he was making noises about getting himself one,so fingers crossed-he's been trying to quit the stinkies for a while

Like others have said, I have had positive reactions from positive people. My carer is a lifelong non smoker and always wanted me to quit because it was what I wanted, and because of the smell, mess etc. She loves the vaping because it's not smelly and doesn't leave cig butts everywhere and all of that, plus it's better for me. She even likes the smell of some of the juices. On the other side, the only smokers I know either haven't seen me vape, or are now ex smokers and on the vape themselves...so I've had a pretty positive reaction. I haven't vaped that much in public, but will be sure to be the same as I was when I smoked, aware of people surrounding me and all of that.

The majority of us are ex smokers and one thing I didn't like as a smoking trying to quit or not, was the people who were so holier than thou because they'd broken the addiction and managed it. They seemed to forget how hard it was. I'm happy vaping and it's doing less damage than smoking cigs so I'm happy no matter what anyone else thinks.

I haven't had any negative experiences just some curiosity and i'm only too happy to explain how my ecig works and whatnot sometimes when im out I take a couple of cheap plastic drip tips so if anybody wants a try they can.

I got a lad at work onto a kit after he had a blast on mine he's now got another of our mates onto it so it's going good ! I have been having lots of chats with customers when they ask why I'm using an "ecig thingy" and there all impressed and we have chats about how a dog died and how stupid you must be leaving nicotine out so for me it's an enjoyable experience all the time at work or home :thumbup:

The hard part is when I hand it over so they can have a go, cough like mad then say oh I'm not sure lol

Same as most really, mainly curiosity, people ask what it is so I chat away to them about my experiences. A few from work have asked me to take them to @leisureliquid where I got mine from. That way they can have a chat with the team there and get set up with the best kit for thier needs.

Only negatives have been from non-smokers who just go on about the nicotine addiction. I ignore their negativity and politely tell them to do one!!

mainly good reactions and asking how long i is since ive had "real" cigs things like that, one negative thing i have had is that at one of the local social clubs one of the smokers who is on the board of directors has put through a ban of e-cigs in the club, the reasoning is that he is a smoker and doesnt think that it is fair that he has to go outside to smoke when the vapers can do it inside... kinda worrying that someone can be so spiteful about it really.

Yeah funny that. My brother stopped smoking last year and was on those horrible lozenges for about 3 months, yet he's turned into a holier than thou, and told me to pack in the e-cig. I only quit smoking 6 weeks ago. Had to remind him how long it took him to wean himself off nicotine! Shut him right up! Hahaha!

Yeah I live in Essex, and don't see a lot of vapers here. Maybe that's why. Hopefully it will catch on here and save a lot of lives too! ( Funny how all of a sudden I see smokers everywhere though)

Well that is definitely an interesting article but I disagree with him a little. For one thing I don't believe that we are against smokers or prejudiced against them. Also I don't really believe that I ever really smoked for the tobacco flavour as I have switched to vaping quite easily ( I know its harder for some and it took me a couple of tries previously, but went cold turkey for a couple days first) I don't know what a safer organic tobacco cigarette is? Is it free of tar? cancer free chemicals? Sounds to me like a ploy by the tobacco industry to keep people smoking for as long as they think there is hope there will be a miracle tobacco cigarette that doesn't cause cancer etc. He sounds a bit deluded.
