Is there any known fake VTC6 batteries out there?
If so do you guys think these could possibly be fake?
They weigh in at 46,96g and 47.0g
I will be receiving my D2 charger this week, hopefully. Is there any tests I could do with it to check their performance?
The colour seems like the legit one, but is a bit messed up in the pictures, also the wrap and seams are flush, but one of them is a little wonky and the danger print is messed up a bit.. Is this normal?

I've tried capturing the true colours, but my camera isn't that great. This is as close as I can get.

they look fine to me as far as I can see ..... the wonky writing is nothing to worry about and the wraps have that slightly iridescent look too, which is spot on for sony's.

The main thing I would ask is where did you buy them from? They look genuine.

If you got them from a reputable store, like Fogstar or batteries plus, then they will be fine. Fakes are getting better and better though, so if they was bought from an unknown vendor somewhere like Ebay I would be a little worried they could be fakes. Depending on how far you intend to push them would be my deciding factor if I used them or not if they was bought from somewhere that could sell fakes.

This is only what I would do though if there was even the slightest suspicion I could have fakes.

They look legit... but then again I look interested when my mrs is telling me about her day so...looks can definitely be deceiving

Where did you get them and what price? Its good to get things on the cheap but batteries for a vape device are something I wouldnt skimp on

I bought them from a online vendor in Norway. It all started out well and I had no reason to worry, but then I read some bad shit about the vendor.
Thanks for the input guys.
Oh, and if anyone wants to know the price.. £22 + £4 shipping. LOL right? Everything cost more over here, that's why I normally buy things from abroad.

OK, what exactly have you read about the vendor? Is he known to have sold fakes?

If so, that would definitely ring alarm bells. Also, this is a well known site for batteries that would be cheaper for you https://www.nkon.nl/ , just over 6 euros a battery for the VTC6.

I like supporting small retailers, after all it's someones business and they need our support. The money is not an issue to me.
All I read was that one guy insisted that his vtc4 batteries was fake, but refused to show any pictures. Everyone else seemed to speak positively of the vendor so I'm not gonna hang them out with names.

I'm gonna take Mooch's advice and keep an eye on them.
"If you are worried they might be fake then start slow, about 30W per battery (60W in a 2 battery mod, etc). If they run cool then keep increasing the power. They shouldn't get more than very warm even if chain vaping at 75W each (150W in a 2-battery mod, etc.). You can go higher, so much is determined by how you vape, but just don't let them get more than very warm and keep the wraps in perfect condition."
And
"The odds are good that those batteries are genuine.

I felt bad about pestering him since he probably get many requests every day, so I gave him a donation to show my support :)
