. I wouldn't take one for free & £120 for the mod & £22 for a door they can feck off. It looks cheap & nasty especially if you bear in mind Runt have been selling Arks for £67.50, brand new & half price . Already have one but @tootingyoda couldn't resist a bargain 
I found someone through FB who did custom paint jobs on mods, including that type of paint finish. Think he called it a day last year. See if I can find a link. Looks purple & transitions depending direction of light. Looks metallic.
It’s not always purple, can get different pearlescent colours, and your right, it works on direction and reflection of light, can have a sparkle type look to it just like metallic but metallic is tiny particles of aluminium in the paint to give it the sparkle, where pearlescent is tiny particles of ceramic crystal which gives the look of changing colour, depending on the angle you look at it and how the light is hitting it....
It does look cheap and nasty, you're right there. The colours remind me of 1980's pool balls. I nearly bought an ark but I just really don't need one.@3dj is the one uses Palitoy mods
