Think the days of box squonks demanding £100+ are over. Some like the Runts will always have a following but even they haven't done anything new for about a year. There's only so far you can go with a box. Bespoke mods, aka Vapesmarter & Smoggy, are more attractive but even these are slowing down. Vapings gone too mainstream & almost through away mentality. Every day there's a new pod system & absolutely no innovation.

Point & spray. As long as the surface is dust & grease free should be fine
Anything out of a rattle can won’t be a great finish, also you would need some kind of primer first, spray paint direct onto bare metal and it will be flaking off by the next day...

It's not metal but a primer would help give a key.
