......what are the advantages of having a variable voltage/watt device.... I've read lots about them but I can't get the info to sink in..... Sorry for anyone head butting their laptop/desktop/tablet at this question!!

Not sure about wattage but the vv lets you find the setting that gives you the ideal vapour/taste for you l found the standard batt's left some juices a bit weak and PG ones light on vapour, l vape mainly at 4.2 with 1.8 heads in my mini vivi nova's and it suits most juices :)

Hi WooWoo

As vapertron says .. Variable Voltage (VV) allows you to pass different sterngths of current through your atomiser heads

this will allow you to find a "sweet spot" with any given atomiser and juice combination (more voltage = warmer vape, less = cooler) a lot of juices I find taste quite different at different temperatures.

WARNING - THE BELOW IS A LAYMANS VIEW OF VARIABLE WATTAGE >> NOT from an expert!

Variable Wattage i believe allows you to do the same thing BUT it will measure the overall power used .. and provide that same amount of power to whatever head you screw onto the battery .. so if for instance you find you like a 2.4ohm vivi nova at 7 watts .. and you want to change to a 1.8 ohm .. it will provide the correct amoutn of current to give the same result to the 1.8ohm head as it did the 2.4 ohm ..

Echoing what #Vapertron has said - I have no idea about variable wattage, but variable voltage gives you the ability to increase the temperature and taste of your juice. I didn't use VV for months. When I finally did, I was amazed at the difference it makes. I vape at 4 - 4.5V with a 3ohm carto or coil and it hits the spot the vast majority of the time. Definitely worth a go if you're thinking about giving it a try. :tennis:

Also - if your "sweet spot" is at 4V, for example, and you have two 3.7V batteries in a mod, the device will keep your voltage at a constant 4V until they are too low to power it. A single 3.7V battery mod will start at about 3.X V and slowly become weaker through use until the battery needs changing.

No such thing as a stupid question :) basically it gives you more options. I haven't used variable wattage but I do like my variable voltage. Some juices taste better at different voltages, some burn at higher levels. I also like pressing buttons :D

So it sets the volts for you no matter what ohm head you use ?

if you mean variable watts ... I think it sets the overall power output .. no matter what head you use ... as in it will match power output from one to another.

I think :)

its actually easier .. you only have to set it once .. not mess around between different heads :)
