What's new

Stupid question I expect........!

Can you recommend a decent not too over the top price wise vv to purchase for a noobie you lovely peeps?!

So it sets the volts for you no matter what ohm head you use ?
Correct.
How hot the atomiser gets depends on variables. The more volts the more 'power' or heat. The lower the resistance the more 'power' or heat. Another way of expressing 'Power' is Wattage. So if you set the wattage then whatever resistance the miser is the device will adjust the voltage to get the same 'power'

I use ego twists and a new one l found on vapourhut that's good looking and a bit different l'm not sure about mods though they seem a bit pricey to the same job :)

Cheap VV devices are among the following

Lavatube - (all versions are cheap)

Howitzer - (although watching some reviews they tend to die and/or misbehave erratically.)

Gripper VV - (not the most sturdiest of mods as is a plastic shelled body, but mine's solid now thanks to 30 seconds of simple glueing)

ITaste VV - (will require adapters if you want to use 510 gear with it. As they use their own magnetic connection. Adapters are cheap, roughly £3)

IMotion vv - (not had any experience with these I have heard mixes reviews. I have also heard mixed reviews on lavatube but I loved mine) I believe they now have a V3 of the iMotion.

iTaste MVP - (larger PCCP version of the original itaste. With a raised ego connector I think.... I may be wrong.)

Ego V6 - (large ego sized tube mod with 3 voltage settings, indicated by different colours that flash in a ring light near the connection)

Ego style VV - (normally cheap and cheerful, similar sized to regular ego batteries)

E2 VV (ego connection and nice sort of screwdriver handle shaped body)

It depends on what you class as cheap, I believe all of these can be bought for under £65 each and there are probably plenty of others I haven't mentioned

or a vamo for £30

Hiya btw DV!

The E-2 is good l have one, it's a good feel in the hand and very SHINY lol

I have the Imotion (2 not 3) and as much as I like it, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, it's just too big and dildo shaped! I have had 3 ego V6's, and while they give an absolute headshaker of a vape are quite easy to break. I had a lavatube mk 1 and loved it til I lost it! I'm currently using a howitzer for work with gaffa tape wrapped round it, as the bit where the battery compartment attatches to the "brain" tends to be a bit weak (it's 3 plastic lugs). I am also currently using an Vision Spinner, which I love so far (no probs, nice vape at all voltages) and have a Vamo and an ego twist coming (slowly)! Hope this helps with ypur choice.

I highly reccomend a lavatube, I moved from ego's to a LT and never looked back, they can stand a fair bit of rough handling also, mine has fallen off coffee tables, computer desks, out of my pockets, knocked out of my hands and sent soaring into walls..(I'm rather clumsy, add in a 7 year old that charges around full speed without looking where he's going and it's chaos!) The top section where the connector is shows signs of minor separation but a little pressure pops it back in place, still works the same as always.

The little plastic rim on the top of my old v1 Lavatube cracked and broke off after about 20 falls.... But superglued back on and is rock solid.
I spraypainted my lavatube and it never hurt it at all! And that was 3 WET coats of paint I put on it!
