What's new

Subtank mini rba base.

check out the coil master kits on ebay there are some reet bargains on there at the mo because coilmaster have just released their new kit!

watch out for the cheap fakes though make sure you get a genuine!

Thanks all, the orders in, being a toolmaker, I look forward to having a go. Can stop blaming stock coils now, and blame myself.

Try and make sure the subtank mini that you order is the new version with the updated RBA deck.

The original has problems wicking high VG juice, the new one has larger holes it's a lot better.

Pretty sure myepack have the latest ones.

It's so you can squeeze the coils whilst firing them, obviously using metal whilst firing will short.

I know you can stop firing then squeeze when hot but since getting ceramics I haven't looked back.

Hi Gerry

Sounds like you know what you are doing

I am using the Kanger pre made coils (0.5) in the RBA but getting inconsistent results, its just ok at 22W but not much flavour or cloud. It also gets too warm at 25W which seems a bit strange, I noticed that the vape does not seem as airy as even the Nano but I now have the Trition which is super airy so perhaps its a relative thing

The standard coils are spaced, would there be a benefit in using a smaller micro coil with no spacing ?

Any pics of a good build ?

Nick

I have always found the micro coils (touching coils) ramp up quicker and produce a tastier vape.

It's all preference tbh though.

As far as your build goes it may be that you have used too much cotton so it's restricting the airflow. Have a look on YouTube for the pancake wicking method. It's basically a very short wick (2mm or so either side of the coil) then using juice to spread the end of the wick into a vertical pancake. This is for the v1 deck without the side holes.

For the v2 deck I tend to wick the coil then put the ring on and cut the cotton just above and loosely tuck it down so it covers the hole.

I don't own a subtank any more (build my bosses for extra brownie (brown nose) points)

There are plenty of videos out on YouTube that should be able to help :)
