Hi all, I've been vaping for a couple of months now and learning loads on here along the way.
My neighbours (certainly two of them, possibly three) are interested in converting to vaping too. They have asked me for some advice on what to buy.......not a good move on their part because, although I'm relatively happy with what I use, I think they could buy better. Can you suggest something for them to consider.
They all work so would need something that they can put in their pockets without leaking all over the place which suggests to me a carto system. I am wondering if a carto tank system would be better for them when at home as then they will not have to refill cartons all evening, so my big question is: what would you advise? Money is reasonably tight for them, I don't want to scare them off but considering they each smoke 20 tailormades a day then in the long run this is going to save them a fortune!!
Could they use a 510 carto style starter kit and buy a tank style carto for evening use using the same battery.

I would point them in Te direction of the riva 1100 kit. Comes with clearo's and cartos. It then allows them to choose which they prefer while out and at home.

with regards to the 510 cartos, yes they could have a standard carto, then buy a tank to slide over the top. These Re also available at vape escape in 3ml or 6ml

Hello and welcome Barkings, what are you using at the moment ? I would suggest an normally an Ego kit for anyone want to vape but it all depends on the form factor required for your neighbours, do they want a cig size alternative or would they consider a step up to an ego size battery?

I would then have a clearomizer on top that I would use day or night, at the moment the evod is my preference as great flavour and vape production.

You can get an ego, evod and charger for as little £16 as an initial step into the vaping world, the refill aspect by the way is a normal and I normally fill three times a day on an evod and twice if I have a big tank but I vape over 5ml a day, but they are easy to fill.

I have not noticed any leaks on my evod but as with any tank you run a risk of slight leak unlike the carts which soak up liquid and don't leak, but with an ego battery you can fit a cart on it and use carts if you so require but I find them a bit faffy IMHO trying to fill and always thought the flavour was slightly muted dependent on the juice you were vaping.

Thanks so much for those excellent suggestions. Both give me something to chat to them about. With regard to my setup, I think I have made a bit of a mistake, although the systems are working very well for me at the moment.

I picked up a litejoy lookalike in my local pub one night and have not had another stinkie since. I found they were the way forward for me. I really liked the litejoy carto but wanted something that didn't need refilling so much. I looked on the Internet but was soooo confused with all of the different systems so bought a ego crystal from the litejoy website. Incidentally after I bought it they shoved the price up £10, so actually didn't pay the price they are asking now. I'm really pleased with it. But the downfall is that no other clearomiser seems to fit it and litejoy don't sell either the heads or the clearomisers separately so I'm going to be stuck in the near future.

Having found this forum, I would like a vamo v2, and have started to get some bits for it s/hand (courtesy of jandcd, cheers John!).....I don't want next door to make the same mistake I have. I feel a bit disloyal to litejoy saying that, as they have a very good system, vapes lovely and I'm completely satisfied with it, other than the spares issue. They have said they will try to get some spares in for me but could take a couple of months!!

Thanks again for your valuable advice, will let you know which they go for if they take the plunge......

+ for the evod on something like a ego battery, great vape and plenty of flavour, vapes as good if not better than some of the more expensive stuff out there, can't go wrong :)

Doesn't sound like you made a mistake at all as you have not had a stinkie so the litejoy worked well for you, I started on cigalikes but moved slowly up the scale as I found although the cigalikes were great I got a better vape and taste form bigger batteries and then VV, there is such a large choice for people as tastes and needs vary so much and what suits one may not suit another .

Thanks for the kind words, mark....makes me feel a bit better! I wish I had found this forum before I took the plunge. The battery is a good size being 1350 mah and does last a long time and it's not a bad vape at all, it's just the spares issue that's a bit annoying. They might come up with something but a couple of months sounds a long time......post from china only takes a couple of weeks max!! They were quite helpful but not sure whether I was being fobbed off, we will see......

Another +1 for evod on an ego.

I've had quite a few different clearo's & each time I find a better on I think yep this is it for me. Then something new comes out & bang I've changed my mind.

So far I've tried

Ce4
Ce5
Kanger t3's
Innokin dual coil
& now the kanger evod

Have you got a link to the litejoy you are using, just wondering if there is an adapter that will fit, I know litejoy do a ego style but not sure which model you have
