Hi bit of a newbie here when it comes to mod making, but I have build a good few fast rc boats, so this should be right up my street.
I am looking for some help with few parts to build the new 30w SX300 chipset in to a alloy die cast box mod

I just reicevied a few of the lastest gravity sensor 30w chipsets today.

Would like to power it on flat pack lipos 30c first problem is I am not sure whats the best 510 battery connector to use in a die cast box?
would like start by building one for for dripping using the IGO W4 RDA but not realy sure what connector would work best. any help would be great.
cheers

Sam

I'd try to fit such as a Vamo top cap as so far, all the other 510 connectors I've tried have been a pig avoiding a short as the grommet holding the centre pin has failed.

Quality 510's are few and far between. Atmistique do a good quality stainless 510 http://www.atmistique.gr/en/craven-...es.tpl&product_id=541&category_id=75&vmcchk=1 but it restricts the size of the wires you can use. I've replaced the POS +ve pin and crappy insulator in the Stealthvape 510 one with a nylon shoulder washer and a 1/8" copper rivet with good results too.

Thanks all for the input on the 510 connectors might have to try a Vamo head, but still not sure if that my best option.Next problem how do i wire the 510 connector red and black to battery that's simple enough and it powers up fine.
is it the white wire to the 510 centre post? but do i need to earth the post as well maybe that's what the extra short wire are for. go easy it my first build.

It shouldnt make any difference but the red should go to the centre of the 510.

Could you post some close ups of the board? I'm sure you should have power into the board and then power out to thr 510 connector

@sampit If you got these from China they use the white as their red +ve, but the black is still used for the ground and -ve, as can be seen for the Vamo

EDIT: However on your board it maybe different but I just want to give you a heads up so you don't get blue smoke :)

If you can contact your supplier and ask for a datasheet for the PCB or if you can use a multimeter to work through and create your own schematic for the board all the better, that way you will know where all the capacitors and resistors are placed.

Thanks dont want the blue smoke lol, so i just dropped them an email better safe than sorry. wondering if i could fit this board in my vamo5?
any other suggestions. the die cast box just might be too much hassle cutting screen holes etc. re thinking it , maybe a nice mechanical mod tube would be easier.
