Hi all, has anyone got a link to a build tutorial for the doggy please?

I’m using premade kanthal 26 awg a1 coils. Can’t get the little bleeders to stay under the posts. Can’t seem to get the coil to glow correctly and then get atomiser short. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers

This was the video that I used (initially because I couldn’t get the tank apart!)

I’ve never used prebuilt coils before but have a look at @speedfreek67s build for an idea on how it should look

The short could be because the coil is touching the chimney, either it’s sitting too high or it’s too long. Have a little look here, someone else was having an issue with a short

Personally, i think that 26 awg is not ideal for this tank. Have used 27, 28 and 30 awg successfully, which ramps up quicker at low wattages and fits and clamps easier. I use 2.5 ID coils also.

Thank you so much. I ended up going to my local vape shop. The lad in there is really good. He got it going no bother. Of course I bought a couple of bits. I couldn't of walked out without. Cheers I'll watch for next time. [emoji106]

Cheers thanks for the advice. Another ape on here recommended the ones I bought from Fasttech. I'm extremely impressed with the flavour from this tank. [emoji106]

I agree that 28 AWG or thinner are better, or at least easier, for the Doggy style tanks. Let us know how you get on - it's my most-used tank these days. :)

Hi Crewella, I ended up going to the local vape shop. It’s sorted now. Got 100 of them coils to use up. Currently vaping like a dream on top of my new Ephro 101. Dreading having to have a go myself. I’ll be ok rewicking I think. I’ve got plenty of good advice. Thank you. [emoji106]

Honestly, it's the fitting of the coils that's the hardest bit by far. Just wrapping them yourself is a doddle. :)

I’m running my doggy at 0.68Ω and 5w today. It’s pretty good.

How do you build that low, is it a cool vape? I like my vape warmer I think. I’m prob taking rubbish and it is warm just lower. [emoji3]
