try using colored paper as a reflector to add a slightly more stylized look to the shots too

I wrongly assumed you used some fancy shmansy camera. I know its possible to take some great photos with a compact though.

Here's one of mine taken with a Panasonic TZ-30 I think it was. I've not done much photography for ages now. I used to love it but then I don't know what happened really.

And then this was taken with a slightly better camera which I no longer own

great info, I have one of those light tents. Got one for a good price, but I can't figure out howe to fold it back up. It's big enough to fit a guitar in there as you can see. Haven't had time to shoot any of my vaping gear just yet.
