Not usually the ranting type but..... :flames:

So my OH somehow managed to lose her Innokin T20 last week. Don't ask me how coz it's not exactly like losing an earing now is it? So anyway, she was quite upset at losing it, and not long having quite smoking again I didn't want her to stress so I bit my tongue and loaned her my Ehpro 101 mod with Nautilus 2 tank perched on top.

I found a eplacement on Amazon and went ahead and ordered it on Friday last week. Being an Amazon Prime member ((£79 anually) I expected delivery the following day - Saturday. So I logged in to Amazon on Saturday morning to find "out for delivery" as the status. I then proceeded to wait. And wait and wait. Nothing. Nobody turned up all day. There are no deliveries on Sunday so I spent the rest of the weekend a bit miffed that they didn't turn up and deliver it on Saturday as expected. After all, that's what I pay £80 quid a year for.

So around comes Monday and my OH is off work due to having done her back in. I check the status and "out for delivery" shows up as the status again. So she waits and she waits and she waits and nothing. Then all of a sudden the status changes to "second delivery attempt on next delivery day". Wtf??? That's funny coz they haven't even tried delivering it the first time so how can there possibly be a second attempt? 3 days have passed by now and I'm getting increasingly pissed off.

So Tuesday rolls around. "Out for delivery". Surprise, surprise, nobody shows up and no delivery is even attempted. Status changes to "Last attempt: On hold for 48 hrs awaiting instruction". So I get home in the evening and phone Amazon asking wtf is going on? Customer service is extremely apologetic and puts me on hold whilst she calls the courier. The arrangement she makes is that she has given them my contact number and they will phone me in the morning before attempting to make delivery. I will get an early slot so expect a phone call and delivery between 10am and 12pm. Fantastic! Finally! Be nice to get my mod back! What could possibly go wrong?!

So I wake up in the morning and check the status before I leave the house. "UNDELIVERABLE: RETURNED TO SELLER". Seriously? The status was updated at 12:23am! So after the phone call from Amazon to the courier promising delivery and a phone call they then went ahead at just gone midnight and declared my package as "undeliverable" and sent the damn thing back to the seller! Another call to Amazon and what do I get? Another apology and a gift card refund. Great! 5 days later and I've now had to re-order it and once again select - Amzon Prime free next day delivery. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow. If it doesn't get delivered tomorrow someone at Amazon is gonna get one hell of a mouthful, that much I know.

What I want to know is how can a delivery company claim to attempt 3 seperate deliveries on 3 seperate days, when in reality, they have made ZERO attempts? And why the hell does a company like Amazon deal with these lying bastards?

For my inconveniece? A month added on to my prime membership free of charge. Great! At this rate it means I'll just about have time for one more delivery!

Thankfully, I had a decent mtl device to lend her that she liked and could use. Many people wouldn't have been so fortunate and would have gone back to smoking. That's what winds me up the most.

Rant over but jeez it winds me up! One failed attempt, OK. Two failed attempts, really? THREE failed attempts, I call bullshit! And I guess it's fuck the fourth attempt coz obviously they can't be arsed! Very professional. Shame Amazon doesn't allow feedback for the delivery service! I wonder why that is. :hmm:

Don't tell me, they used Hermes or Yodel to send it. I've had this bullshit from both of them before.

I don't know, they wouldn't tell me. But I would bet money it's one of those two. I really don't know which of the two I hate the most. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if I found out they had the same parent company.

What really pisses me off tho is when they were cornered and had to call me before attempting delivery again they just cancelled the delivery completely in the middle of the night. Which leads me to believe they never intended to even attempt delivery.

It would make sense. As I understand it, their drivers are basically self employed or zero hour contract arrangements on not much more than minimum wage, so understandably they don't give a fuck about the parcels. Not great for us customers though. I try and avoid companies that use them now.

I still remember when they both first popped up. Back in my eBay selling days. I would book packages to be collected and they just wouldn't turn up. I'd re-book and re-book and eventually just give up and go to the PO myself. I don't think they've improved much over the years.

Amazon is big enough now they should have dedicated Amazon delivery drivers.

nothing to add, it's all been said.

... and I think most of us have been there before at some point.

Bloody annoying though.

Drive must not like you?
You double check to make sure the delivery address is correct?
I know sounds daft, but every time i place an order through amazon, always defaults to my old address.
I cant fault amazon, never had a problem with them at all. Shop on their quite regularly.
But i do understand your frustration of dealing with these corporate co.s, ringing up and get nothing bur passed on to soneone else untill you get cut off.

Yeah, address is 100% correct. Like I said, I whole-heartedly believe they never came anywhere near my property and never intended to. And that's what really feks me off. To not even attempt delivery but claim to have attempted 3 times. My door bell leaves your ears ringing for 10 minutes wherever you are in the house. Impossible to miss someone at my front door.

Last time I ordered the Mrs coils for her endura t18 I ordered through Amazon prime next day delivery

Anyway didn't give it much though as we weren't desperate for them, the next day we are sitting down to our tea around 7.30 (having young kids apparently changes dinner into a supper type deal) and the door goes and it's this guy with a wee car at the end of my drive and he stood there with my amazon delivery. Shocked I said to him I didn't think you would deliver at this time of night, to which he replied we don't but I was here earlier today and no one was home but I pass this area on my way home from work so thought I'd just deliver it after my shift had finished

I sat down to dinner that night with my faith in humanity restored a little bit

Your situation though is a lot of shite I have zero patience if I'm given a delivery day and I excitedly wait on it and it's a no show , I send some brutal emails :18:

Tesco did it to us. Apparently twice the driver called round and we wernt in. Odd as the doorbell never went.

Waited in all day on for a dpd delivery. It never arrived and the driver flung the "tried to deliver" card on the mat at the shared front door. Guess he couldnt be arsed to carry it upstairs either!
