This thread is gold to me. I've got a good idea of what to do with the flavours thanks to you guys.

One thing I want to mention though, rather than testing concentrates at very low percentages in 30ml bottles I prefer to do 5 or 10ml testers and dip the nib of a cocktail stick in the concentrate and then dip it in the base mix to test it. It's not going to be as accurate as using drops, mls etc but you can get less than a drop in a tester to get an idea of the strength without having to risk wasting 30ml of base.

It reminds me of when I get a batch of new flavours I slop a load of nicshot in an rdta and just touch the nib of the concentrate bottle against it.

I came across this recipe on AllTheFlavors and like the look of it but I don't have Inw 555. I searched my flavours for a sub and the only tobacco one I have that mentions "Nutty" in the description is flv Arabian. I wasn't feeling so brave about using that but fairly confident about the others.

As you see, I wimped out a little haha

i’ve not tried the inw 555. i do have a big bottle of some rebranded stuff labelled “555 tobacco” that i thought might be it. this stuff would work nice in that mix. but i don’t think it’s the same after reading about the inw one.

that mix might be good if you sub am4a for the 555. it won’t taste anything like the original intended flavour, but since you don’t have the 555 you’ll not know what it should have been like anyway.

whatever you do, don’t ever blend am4a and arabian. that’s a puzzle i will never be able to work out.

I do get the slight coffee, cocoa, some kind of fruit, maybe slight licorice but I was looking for those flavours after reading people's thoughts on it. Maybe something floral but I can't work out what it might be. I thought I could taste mint the other day too but it seems to come and go. It's so damn confusing.

What have you found it to blend well with? Maybe I'll get along with it more in blends.

actually i prefer it by itself. that’s exactly what i like about it. you can’t pin it down at all, it throws things at you out the blow that you’ve never noticed before, yet at the same time it is very distinctive and unmistakable. it’s like it has elements of all those things but none of them in full. so you’re not even sure that’s what you’re tasting.

i struggle to work out how it can sit in a blend. but surprisingly it works nicely with custard.

you could give it a go at 1%.
