The Flavorah Tobacco Lounge

@StuPot to be honest, i’ve rarely mixed it with anything. with other tobaccos it can really weird everything out and create strangeness that isn’t present in any of the ingredients. i think it might have the pucker/dark tobacco ingredient in there. it’s a definite stand alone one for me, it’s excellent solo anyway. :)

Ah okay, I'll try the solo low % again but with a big steep this time. I have some well steeped. I was going mad scientist with it, adding it to all sorts :)

It's not too bad with spearmint btw. It tastes weard as feck but not too bad.

You see the descriptions though?

"Pipe tobacco, fruity, cocoa, caramel, wine.
Am4a is slightly sweet and oh so smooth! Upon the first few vapes I detect a darker pipe style tobacco, with faint hints of chocolate or cocoa, roasted coffee bean, vanilla"

"Sight chocolate and caramel note, but what really comes through is the burley flavor of a woody, leather (not a bad thing), plum, anise and slight raisin quality; a very complex tobacco"

It's so hard to pin down. There's a lot more than that going on too. I taste a fair few spices

i get some brandy in it. it’s as though there are elements of loads of flavours, but with bits missing. there’s something that is present in citrus, but it doesn’t taste at all citrusy, if you see what i mean. sometimes a chocolatey note. mixed with certain other things the chocolate comes right out. it’s significantly different mixed at different strengths too. try mixing 4 testers at 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2.

I remember amphora tasting like a perverted perfume, need to revisit and probably go much lower, my bottle is about 5 years old, might be good by now.

Woody smell and taste of tobacco leaves. Sweet afternotes of brown sugar with intensive vanilla.

Knocked up a 30ml shake and vape yesterday, at 1.50%, caned it. Reminds me somewhat of flv vanilla tobacco, not getting the wood yet, going to see how a 250ml mix at 1.75% steeps and pans out, this one has great potential.

a bump for a bit of help/ideas/group mixing.

I've been really enjoying this lately... drinking loads of it to be honest.

I'm going to try and make a Chai tobacco (using what I have ideally)

Ingredients on the back of the box say

Black tea (which will be replaced with tobacco obviously)
Ginger (I have both FLV ginger and FLV ginger snap)
Cinnamon (I'll be 100% using FLV rich cinnamon here as I love that stuff)
Cardamon (which I don't have, did you say you had a cardamon @zouzounaki ? should I get some or just leave it out?)
Cloves (I have FLV clove, which is good)
Black pepper (I don't have any black pepper flavouring, maybe one of the tobaccos has a peppery note?)
Anise (I don't have anise but I wouldn't want it strong... I get a slight anise note from Cavendish, so I'll probably use that in it)

I also use milk and sugar in the tea, so maybe I'll add a vanilla or two too.

So presuming I use Cavendish as one of the tobaccos at say 0.5% what other tobaccos should I use with it, that would work both with the Cavendish and with all the spices?

Right now I'm thinking something like

FLV Cavendish
FLV Ginger Snap
FLV Ginger
FLV Rich Cinnamon
FLV Clove
FA Vanilla Tahiti
INW Shisha Vanilla

It's going to need more tobacco though.... any ideas? It seems obvious that I should add Arabian/Turkish or Oriental.. but as I'm adding in a lot of spices maybe I should go for something a little more straight?

Not sure, where to go really... I could just buy FLV Chai spice, but A: where's the fun in that? and B: this way I can adjust the individual spices.

Should I just mix the spices together first and get that somewhere right first?

@Simon G i have FA cardamom and anise. both are good, but really strong and only need a couple of drops per 50ml. they would work well for this.

it is a good idea, chai tobacco. i’d be thinking to stick with tobaccos that are not too out there, would prob go with red burley and cured tobacco for starters. maybe in addition to vanilla some flv cream and FA fresh cream would work.

careful with the arabian, it might go a bit mental with spice flavours given it’s flavour changing powers. i had a 60ml of am4a mixed, and thought i would liven it up with some additions. i stupidly and added one single drop of arabian and it completely changed it. no more piney/brandy/sweet aromatic notes, it turned into strong earthy tobacco with a kind of leathery taste and a weird chocolate note. i then had to split and decant it into two separate bottles, dilute it by half with base mix, and it’s too strong. it’s scary stuff 🤣
