Same as the texts for most faiths .............. being faiths an' all.

Unless im mistaken, its generally considered impossible to prove a negative (scientifically speaking).

Here are some positives tho:
Another pandemic WILL happen
the earth WILL be hit by an asteroid big enough to cause a mass extinction.
There WILL be a next earthquake that causes a tsunami capable of killing almost half a million people.
there WILL be more hurricanes that wipe entire cities or small carribean islands off the map.

In all of these cases we spend the absolute bare minumum to prepare for these situations.

On top of that, the longer these situations take to eventually occur, the more we cut their budget calling them irrelevant...until they become relevant, and then its too late.
