Could it be that they’ve turned AI against us?
There are two serious logical flaws in the arguments presented. There are no drawbacks as far as we know, that is clearly stated. There may be future research that shows the damages from vaping, but we all do things we probably shouldn’t, and it will never equal that from smoking.
Smokers are already addicted to nicotine, and nicotine in moderation is not seen as a health hazard. I work in the public health field, and ethically there is no question that if we can choose tobacco, then we can choose vaping which is MUCH less harmful.
But ethics aside, there is the question of cost-benefit, both to the individual and society. The damages from vaping and smoking are far from commensurate, and the damage to every single individual who continues to smoke costs them quality of life and lost years, and costs society in medical expenses.
Nothing in life is “harm free”, lifestyle is a question for the individual based on as much information as possible and their own wishes. This is propaganda, and not especially good propaganda at that!
