My bin has gone walkabout again and I got woken up at 7am by loud thunder. Otherwise not too bad here in South London, thankfully I am half way up the hill so neither the storms nor the flooding affects us here much. South Croydon is more difficult, they had a substation and a water treatment plant flooded. Underground rivers are becoming a big problem now. What used to be a small trickle (hence being put underground) is becoming a proper river again... I could imagine if there are any power cuts the London underground is going to have some serious problems! Some underground rivers are very close to tube tunnels and TFL pumps tons of water out of the system even on normal days!
