Thin ni80 round and ni80 ribbon. Nightmare!!!!!

Received ni80 .16mm round and ni80 ribbon .5×.1. Dunno what to do with it. Tried and it's a pain in arse to work with. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

No idea but I've seen a few people call it Ni80 lately, it always used to be referred to as N80.

.... I'm concerned about people seeing Ni and thinking they can use it in Ni temp control on their mods.

You asked about this yesterday sparky.

The 0.16mm is best used for making Claptons. They won't be super fine like you see on the coil porn, but they'll do as practice for you.

I don't really know any use for the ribbon, apart from trying to get a few lengths together and wrapping them with the 0.16mm to make a fancy coil.
If you have decent wire around, say 0.4 or 0.5mm wire you can make an 'armoured' clapton by wrapping the ribbon around the thicker wire.

If none of that appeals, you could put the wires up as a freebie on here as someone could make use of it.

I haven't got the time or the means to make Clapton or twist it. Might see how the ribbon braids. Or see if can braid both together. Love braided wire. But Seems to need rewicking every 5 mins.
