What's new

Think I been converted to a full time dripper!

Failed to take a photo that showed anything useful.
I use 2mm voodoo in a 2.5 mm coil and just leave a shorter tail on the side that is short of space on something like an igo-l.Once the wick is primed it is easier to get it to go where you want it than when it is dry and in a tight space it might bunch more than you would like especially with voodoo rather tha normal twisted silica which is easier in tight spaces.I use silica rather than cotton because I do not like the taste of cotton and voodoo because it holds together better so I will fit it in anything. You can shift the coil a little away from the neg side but it can be tight in a small dripper.Perhaps you adjust how and where you bend the wick to suit where the wick wants to bend.
On my igo -l the wick from the pos goes straight to the edge of the drip reservoir then bends along it a little way.
On the neg side just enough to bend down to the base and a little more so you can stick it to the base with juice. this is the one that does not want to behave but it does settle down soon enough.
Hope some of this makes sense and is some use but my view is if you want to do it just stick it in there, you will find a way to make it go.

Understood, pretty much what i thought really. With your igo l you have a nice space where my unused neg post sits, that & the size of my dripper make the 2mm voodoo a no go but i will do it again when i pick up the 22mm job because it was a nice clean taste.
Do you thread it through a micro coil or use a spaced coil ? I have trouble parting with my micro coils, attached at the hip.

What I do is I will take a meter of voodoo and burn the whole length.I then turn the whole thing into a sort of bootlace using tape tightly wraped round one end. The tape will only grip the last few ml of the wick and most of the tape will have no wick in it.I twist this as tight as possible to get a thin pointy end that I use to thread through the coil.A bit of twisting as you thread.Twist and tread in such a way that the forces want to tighten rather than open the coil and tighten your twisty bootlace end.I pull the whole lot through and cut off at desired length.
You can, of course, and I used to tape shorter lengths each time I made a wick but doing a long length makes rewicking with voodoo easier and quicker than with cotton.
You may want to experement with the best diameter for your coil.It has to be bigger than the stated diameter of the wick because that is the internal diameter of the hollow wick.I have ended up with 2.5 mm after finding 3mm a bit loose but suspect that something in between may be perfect but my screwdrivers are only graded to .5mm and I am not pushing the limits of the wick in any way so it works for me.

Nice one, & unconventional too, my kind of thinking..... Although i didn't actually think of the tape but yeah, good one. ;) Just need pay day to hurry up now before i start to eat dust from the gutter outside my front door, it looks tastier each day.

I started with various tanks, got a Chinese RDA for some cloud-chasing fun(soon tired of this)and for testing DIY mixes.I then discovered that the lower ohms I wound the coils, the lower nicotine content I could use & still be satisfied so bought several more RDA's & soon completely ceased using any of my tanks.I used to get the GF or daughter to juice the RDA whilst driving, but can do it myself if needed.I now have 2 squonker box mods so all I need do is give the bottle a squeeze, but can also still taste test DIY juices with them by simply changing the wicks.I also have an RDA with dual vertical coils that use SS mesh wicks, handy for situations where I'm not allowed to vape indoors as I can add juice, vape to satisfy my craving & then simply shake the capless device to get rid of excess juice before stuffing in a pocket. With practise, dripping is no less convenient than tanks.

With Chegs with this one. I'll tank it on occasion, but I like my flavour too much to be back on a tank full time. I've just picked up some 18350 batteries and stuck one in the Nemmy with the Derringer on top.. Stealth Mode... ENGAGE!

Don't really have much of a problem with leakage as generally when I'm out and about it'll be in my hand and I vape pretty much non-stop when out walking around. Dripping is no worse than pulling out a Cigarette and stopping to light it imo.

Out and about I always genuine Kayfun v4. Close liquid flow = no leaking in pockets yet. Plus I always keep it in a little cloth bag wrapped around. Must admit the marquis RDA dual coil is so freekin awesome.

I've been exclusively tanks for years, but they're getting less and less use now.

SMPL and Derringer, discreet and pocket friendly. Tend to go through a bit more juice, but the pros far outweigh the cons. Bought a iStick 50 for the longer lasting battery, though I'd be using it with tanks for everlasting vapes when out and about. Nope!

Almost still exclusively mech and dripper still. When I go for a puff at work, 4 or 5 drops gets me down the shops and it's safe enough to put in my pocket when I get there. 4 or 5 more gets me back to work. Always carry a tissue about your person though... ;)

I do have an bellcapped Orchid for pub use, as it's just unobtrusive enough yet provides a good enough vape to keep me happy.

Just waiting on a 4Nine and an SS Derringer for something sneaky to carry about too, as sometimes a box/mod with a feck-off huge tank isn't as inconspicuous as you need...

Don't understand why people hunt for the small mods. I use a YiHi SX350 with a Kayfun v4. Bit long but I seriously I have not seen anything as good as the sx350 overall in the same price range. I am always a jacket a or a blazer so pockets are not a problem. Have heavy hands so damn near cracked the istick 20w casing before set it as the backup device. Considered the flask and dna40 devices but after playing with them the sx350 appears more stable. The thing is very robust and made of pure metal so it's not going to bend. Thing with RDAs is that I can never guess the right amount of the potential for leaks is higher generally. Come the weekend though I usually forget by Sunday nigh where I left the Kayfun as its all marquis dual coil at 0.8ohms with unhealthy amount of ruthless vapor jungle fever or EZ duz it

I use something very similar in the form of the Derringer and Nemesis in 18350 config. Don't have a four nine and don't want to hybrid so the Nemmy suits me down to the ground. Funnily enough it's the only way I could get the Derringer to work for me and my weird sense of taste.
