What's new

Thinking of going on Nicotine gums for a Break from Vaping.

The Nic gum taste bloody horrendous. You will be back vaping before you know it :)

It is.

You can get 3 dufferent mint flavours, licuorish or mixed fruit (think its strawberry, black current etc) so you could pick a fruit depending on what takes your mood :) cant remember what brand does what, but worth a look

Different flavours??? Wont somebody please think of the children.

I was on them before for 37 days, they do the job basically, keep the cravings off

If you feel like it you should just do it, follow your own like. I've never used a patch or gum but some say it works for them. Just wondering how heavy you vape & what style you vape because i go at it quite a lot & i'm strictly a mouth to lung vaper, it's the only action i ever knew from smoking. I don't get sore throats with my 60/40 pg/vg & the mornings bear nothing, i mean nothing on my smoking throats. They were horrid.

I have used the lozenges before and they're pretty okay, not really taste that bad, but they're all mint so if you don't like that flavour you're stuffed. I wish you luck! I have chest problems already from ill health (and smoking for 16 years) but the vaping hasn't made it worse which is a plus for me.

I would be looking at the quickmist rather than gum myself. Best of luck in what you deside, just stay away from the stinkies.

I've never used an nrt and never will. I'd be very surprised if the sore throat wasn't just down to not drinking enough water. I always wake up with a sore throat when I don't drink enough.

Sent with kind regards and salutations.

I've never tried the gum. My OH has and said that it works but the minute you take it out you want a cigarette (or vape in your case). Have you tried having a break from vaping before? I did it for two weeks and was surprised to find I didn't feel the same way as I did when trying to stop smoking. I didn't crave anywhere near as much, just occasionally fancied one (a vape) rather than being driven mad (and driving those around me crazy too). I've read suggestions that vaping is not as addictive as smoking and I think there could be something in that, although admittedly I'm only going on my own experience. So gum might work better with having a break from vaping than it does for smokers.

The trouble with gum is that you look like a cow chewing its cud. That, and you get bloody jaw ache! I personally have a Nicolette mouth spray. Many chain chemists have them on offer and so I grab a few when they are. They only come in a minty flavour though. They certainly "hit the spot" for me cravings wise.
