So what lubricant do you recommend for the threads on a mech mod?

Thanks.

I don't use any but most people use noalox i've also heard of a few using vaseline I would'nt reccomend that though as its petroleum based and could degrade the metal

Use contralube from Maplins, it wont damage the threads and doesnt contain any abrasives (Noalox does).

Don't shout at me for this but...

I rub a pencil lead (ideally 2B) over the threads, then carefully blow/shake away any excess - graphite is conductive so remove your battery and protect any contacts when doing this.

And then go and get what they said when you get a chance!

The only thing I'd point out about Contralube is that it is tacky so it will collect gunk and needs cleaning and replacing from time to time.

And if it gets into the switch mechanism of your Panzer it keeps unscrewing the damn fire button...so a clean up has just been performed :D
