Hi, finally got the last bit I needed for my tin mod yesterday, and after a pre-solder dress rehearsal (worked very well) I soldered what needed soldering - all went good......or so I thought!

Upon putting the evod on I braced myself and took her for her maiden voyage. Which was very short lived!

She'll fire up for a moment, then nothing. If I want a decent draw I have to pulse the button!?:banghead:

I'll describe my set up (don't want to do photo's until she is 100%)

Duel battery holder - red wire to horn switch, black to outside 510 connector
Horn switch to 510 pin
Horn switch to resistor to LED to outside 510 connector.

I'm struggling to see what I've managed to fuck up, hopefully one of you fine POTVers of will of had a similar experience and can point me the right way.

(fingers crossed)

When you say you are using dual batteries, are they in series or parallel? If you got a photo or three, that would be a great help - PM them if you want. I think the answer lies in the batteries and what voltage you are putting out - it's either 3.7V or 7.4V, if its the latter, you've blown your coil.

EDIT: SCRAP THAT! I've just reread your post. Photos definitely a must. No need to post anything revealing - just what you've done circuit wise.:D

I've got to say the resistor is sounding like a suspect, but as I never use them or LEDs, I'm not the person to help in that one, but take the resistor out of the circuit and it is like a doorbell circuit, so it should work if the voltage is ok...

Did you remove centre pin of 510 when soldering the outer..... That much heat may have damaged the insulator
and I would stick a bit of tape under that led/resistor lead....are those batts in series ?

Sent from (who cares) using Planet of the Vapes

eshelby_dunn - Its a bit hard to tell, but the twin 18650 battery holder you are using - is it a parallel or series type? Looking at the piccie, it appears to be serial.

Yeah, I removed centre pin, I pretty sure it is a series.
