Well, obviously a slight concern, especially to a n00b.

All the bottles of liquid have a large skull and crossbones on them stating TOXIC.

It then goes further to explain, TOXIC IF SWALLOWED, VERY TOXIC IN CONTACT WITH SKIN.

And more amusingly: May contain Nuts.

Ok, so the concern comes with it being on my skin once or twice for various reasons and also my GF's iMist decided to malfunction and she got a tiny bit of liquid in her mouth and on her lips....

So how toxic are we talking, is there anything to worry about etc?

See the bit on toxicology. Most eliquids you buy commercially will be up to 36 mg / ml. A non smoker can be killed through swallowing 60 mg, 120 mg for a smoker. Nicotine can be absorbed through the dermis, though the rate is slower than swallowing it. If you drank 4ml of 36 mg eliquid, you'd be in trouble.

Caffeine is also toxic in huge doses, as are other commonly consumed products.

Nicotine though, can be very harmful to small children and needs to be kept away from them.

Ok, so essentially getting a little bit on my finger tips or my GF getting a tiny amount on her lips or in her mouth is absolutely nothing to worry about?

Washing it off the lips and out of the mouth would be the best thing to do - asap - if there's no water available, wipe it off with a tissue. Same with the skin. A small amount will likely have little or no effect though it can be both irritating and unpleasant in the mouth. You don't state what strength it is.

Put it this way, I've swallowed quite a bit accidentally and quite often get the odd drops on my fingers when mixing and have felt no ill affect. Obviously care must be taken but don't get too hung up on it :)

I spill juice all over myself all the time, not died yet! However, best advised to rinse and spit or wash your hands :)

Don't be fooled by this veneer of colonial vulgarity. She's listed in Debrettes and is 4th cousin twice removed to the Royal Princes.

I don't know what all the fuss is about? I know Trog experimented with putting some on his hands with no effect, so I thought I'd go one better and take a bath in full strengh nic (don't try this at home:strawberry:) and I feel OK :strawberry:
