TripHammer To Open Up A Shop In Royal Bournemouth Hospital?

Don't shoot the messenger guys! I'm unbiased here, just bringing you quotes direct from Tim Humphrey.

The story has now been updated with something a little more accurate. I just spoke to Tim and you can find that here.

This is a tremendous development for vaping, led it would seem by a senior doctor. I put all reservations and doubts aside and think this can only be a positive step and a giant leap for the harm reduction argument.

If it takes off across NHS sites it will blow the wind right out of the sails of other workplaces which are currently banning vaping and making their employess stand out in the rain, inhaling second hand smoke from the smokers.

Not having a go mate, just taking issue with something that was clearly not happening as originally claimed.

Although it sounds better now I still don't get what this "internal website" is?

Intranet? Hospital website? Discount to staff like my wife has with Dominoes although I wish it was Pizza Hut?

Granted, now mention has been made of a leading Doc pushing the project makes it sound very promising...I can't wait to discover more. :)

DaveX im guessing the 'internal website' is the staff only access forum as such.

I know a few companies ie Boots have there own internal sites for staff to chat, raise issues, adverts etc

The point has been raised elsewhere that this may be a scam. Tim seems utterly convinced that it's definitely not a scam.

You'd have to be very daft indeed to release news like this with no reliability.

There's no scam without him giving away free products for 'testing'...but, again, the NHS neither has the ability nor knowledge and resources to do this, it's just not how they function.

It could be a cruel hoax but I'm hoping for an enlightened Doc in the final outcome.

The wife knows members of the Trust board down there, I'm hoping to sort out a source for this when she comes back from holiday.

Yes it's intranet I just don't understand how it's a breakthrough for them you can sell owt you want on there it's just like a nhs eBay or some sense

I don't see how you could not know if it was a scam. You get the name of the person you're talking to then go through official NHS channels to find them. EG: Contact NHS Bournemouth and get the switchboard to find the person you were talking to.

Even an advert in a hospital is a massive step though. There's been some positivity around the topic recently in the press. When it's backed up by some proper studies and reports the EU will have a hard time justifying a lockdown.

Seems like a good move in the right direction if you ask me....what with this and the doctor on bbc 2 last night. Doing loads of reading it was looking to me that it wouldn't be too long before vaping was going the same way as smoking.
